I have an absolutely beautifully painted Borka2 that was included in the lot I purchased to get started and I have never put it on the table. It's a shame honestly. About once a week I try to imagine a decent list for this guy and this is the absolute best one I have considered to this point, in my opinion.
With battle charge I basically get to pick my trade pieces and can send my lights flying in all sorts of directions. The feat can ensure they all survive a round in melee and rinse and repeat.
War Room Army
Trollblood - New Army
Theme: The Power of Dhunia 3 / 3 Free Cards 75 / 75 Army
Borka, Vengeance of the Rimeshaws - WB: +29 - Rök - PC: 21 (Battlegroup Points Used: 21) - Dire Troll Mauler - PC: 15 (Battlegroup Points Used: 8) - Earthborn Dire Troll - PC: 15 - Troll Axer - PC: 10 - Troll Axer - PC: 10
Horgle Ironstrike - PC: 0 - Slag Troll - PC: 10 - Slag Troll - PC: 10 Janissa Stonetide - PC: 0 Troll Whelps - 5 Whelps: 0 Troll Whelps - 5 Whelps: 4
Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes - Leader & 3 Grunts: 6 - Stone Scribe Elder - PC: 3
So what's the verdict, can it hang?

You would need a Shaman or two but I think there's potential. I've been looking for an excuse to run multiples Axers but I haven't yet figured out why people are doing that with Borka 2 all of a sudden.

Having the Slags in the battle group must be preferable for sure. You have enough whelps to run them the first turn, and then they get access to the feat and counter charge. It just has to be better... At least get one in the BG if you want the other to be able to go off on a flank and contest. Having a Fury 5 Caster with nothing but BG makes for hard scenario play though...
I for one am waiting till we see a northkin theme before trying Borka 2...

I'd like to check it out. I was interested in an extra axer because of their cheap cost vs hit power. When they're able to just walk up next to (or start a turn next to) a beast/jack then they can put some serious damage out. I felt like countercharge was a huge help to them there.

I see what you're saying about them having access to counter charge. I figured I could place them as a 2nd wave that cleared out the first wave to charge their 2nd wave... but your idea gives them more flexibility and better ensures they hit home.

For me it is probably the fact that the feat wont work on them that puts me off. It is however totally possible that this has very little effect on the table if they are played as a second line. Best try it both ways for sure. I worry a bit about scenario though. 10" control is a huge drawback.

i really wish so. I mean its is not like you auto lose with him, but he feels way weaker than every one except Madrak 1. I just wish he was jarl-level playable...

I'm with Trollock on this one...awaiting the Northkin Theme List.
Borka II is such a good looking model, I hate not having him on the table.
