How is everyone screening the Krielstone in POD? Are you keeping a beast or two back with it, or using runeshapers? I assume if you are using one of the kings you are hiding the stone behind its massive form.

I assume if you are using one of the kings you are hiding the stone behind its massive form. I keep it out of range basically. If they have a gun or two they can get on to the stone that is fine. They should t be able to reach it with lots and lots of guns, then something has gone wrong. Naturally there are exeptions where you have to use terrain and/or beasts (preferably rangee ones) to cover it. Then there is the LotF that that just totally messes you up with a single shot, but i doubt you want to run PoD in to tharn at the moment...

If playing standard SR terrain set-up, there is (required) a piece of LOS-blocking terrain, building, forest, cloud, somewhat in the center of the battlefield. Most often I line up my KSB leader directly at the center of that blocking terrain, with the troopers lined up behind. This cuts down the angles of attack to KSB leader. If deploying second, I will adjust KSB position based on deployed position of opposing longer ranged attacking models.
For 2pts, the Swamp Gobbers are often an add to my list, providing a LOS-blocking cloud on demand. Super cheap unit also for scoring a round zone.
The advent of the ludicrously overturned LotF and increased ranged Grievous Wounds has solidified my fondness for Farrow Valkyries and Bouncer due to the diversity of themes in which they can be included. Warders really should be allowed in other themes, especially PoD (or imagine if Runeshapers gained Shield Guard as a PoD benefit! Screw Serenity.)
Owning Circle Tharn myself, but currently only playing against them, my dismay at such a huge (free) ability for nearly every model in the army to boost or buy is only countered by my resolve not to cave and play them myself, but to find the best way to dismantle that army consistently (51% of the time).

I agree about Warders, or at least Kriel Warriors being allowed in POD, even though the theme is beast and magic based. Currently I am thinking of running Gunny, or Calandra shooty beast heavy in BOH, to gain some jamming (along with dual bouncers), but it feels like I’m shoehorning a bit.

If playing standard SR terrain set-up, there is (required) a piece of LOS-blocking terrain, building, forest, cloud, somewhat in the center of the battlefield... This is actually not true, though it is used very frequently. The rules only require there to be at least 2 LoS blocking terrain pieces on the table, and it does not specify where. The terrain placement methods are optional, and there are 3 of then. The cluster and scatter methods require a LoS blocking terrain near the middle, while the quadrant method does not.
With the exception of during the SR CID i have never seen any one ACTUALLY use any of the methods, but place terrain semi randomly in a fashion similar to what the formal methods would produce. However, since 1/3 of the methods does NOT require LoS blocking in the center, you can expect some tables to not have this. When i set up terrain for tournaments, i usually place LoS blocking elements in the middle on ~2/3rds of the tables. When i set up terrain for monday night gaming, i roll a die. On 1-2 i do not place LoS blocking in the middle as i want to practice both methods.

Since 2/3rds of the SR methods do generate a LOS-blocking piece of terrain within 1" of the center of the battlefield, and in all cases 2 pieces of LOS-blocking terrain is required somewhere on the battlefield, I'll stick with my advice to the OP Though as noted above, your venue norms for terrain may vary! Also, one can screen the KSB leader with his own grunts in a pinch. They can afterall, attack an enemy, whereas the leader can't...
