So, a bit of 'who am I' history first since I am new to these forums. I have been a long time fan of the Iron Kingdoms RPG ever since the D20 days, and I have lurked on PP's forums on and off over the years. Recently I attended a local convention where I tried the demo for Hordes for the first time (and sat in on a Warmachine demo too). I had always been interested in the tabletop wargame, but never wound up getting into it ubtil then. I had a blast playing the demo and chatting with the guys running it and was hooked! I wound up playing Legion for the demo and winning a Starter Box (Circle). I have since talked my wife into trying the game once we have a couple Battle Boxes assembled and painted.
All this aside, I have known for a while now that Trollbloods are my faction so I immediately went out and found myself a Troll MK III starter on eBay. My wife, meanwhile, had taken a liking to Legion. Since I was already in the process of reducing my gaming clutter on eBay I used the sales I was making to pick up a few large lots of both Legion and Trollbloods for future games, which will always find a home in our IKRPG games as well.
Now I won't be too worried about a larger army until we play some starter games, but since I'm a slow painter I don't mind having minis to grow our games with that I can paint over time.
The question I have though is do I need a lot of extras of each mini? The lot of Trollbloods I have now has several duplicates. I know, from reading people's posts, that there are some models and units that are good to have a few of, but do I really need 4 Slag Trolls for instance? I guess I am looking for advice on what units are good to keep a few of (and generally about how many of each I should keep)...a list of commonly used duplicates maybe, I don't know.
I guess what I am really looking for here is that, while I have a decent number of models to use now, I am still missing many others. Should I hold on to all my extras? Are there other Trollblood models I should trade/ buy in multiples?
Also, I likely won't be doing anything but casual games if that makes a difference.

3 Pyre Trolls
4 Runeshapers
2 Stone Scribe Elders
3 Storm Trolls
3 Axers
2 Bouncers
4 Impalers
2 Northkin Fire Eaters

Axers on the other hand get work done. I have several lists with 2.
