My biggest gripe with the chariots is really their overspecialisation. They really skew the match ups where you can use them compared to say the fun carriage whose way more polyvalent. Apparently the assault chariot can find targets because he's not bad against most support even in a bad match up, but the siege chariot seems to one dimensional for my taste, 1 unbbosted rat 6 attack on a 15 point package really feels like putting all your eggs in one basket.

Well yes. If they bring spam or something that can't be slammed But with Collatoral on it ALSO being POW 20 I think you honestly need to consider it as TWO attacks. Having been on the recieving end of too many hurricane slams as well as idiot Cygnar Forcehammers there is nothing that says I love you than having crap slammed into you. You are looking at a POW 20 with FOUR dice on a FFE with Irusk2. With a 7 inch sp you should be able to get the right angle to drive that target into something else. That is REALLY powerful. SHit - talked myself into it. Off to order 1 (or maybe two....;-)

Watch out for the customs charges, depending on where you are

I've been trying the Siege bucket out under Strakhov2. Inviolable resolve makes a big difference for getting value out of it, and you can pair the clouds it generates with your kommando clouds to sneak out a wall. I also run Victor in that list, having a flare shot to help the gun hit is pretty useful

Two things: The Siege Chariot is also more flexible than first glance because that gun will frequently multi-kill infantry targets by slamming them into eachother or knocking heavies through the ranks. You can pick the angle of attack as well because, again, highly mobile slam piece. Medium based or shield wall infantry in particular hate the thing Second, the entire point of playing Chariots is to boost their gun accuracy and damage with spells to make them more dangerous. If you are shooting at something in peasant mode: unboosted and with no random fixers to improve their kill range then basically you are doing it wrong and should consider other models in that slot. Like any list considering a Siege Chariot is probably at minimum going to pump its accuracy somehow with like Signs and Portents or something, with Irusk 2 obviously stealing the show with FFE. It can be through KD or Freeze as well: I've run these things with Malakov in the past due to his battle plan to KD serving as a good setup if needs must, and I can't see Sorscha 1 not being able to get some work out of the thing.

Chariot ordered and on its way. In the end, as Loud Chris points out, Advanced move on a Sp 7 Large base bad-ass just was too much to pass up. I can't wait to see how FFE does on it ;-)

If you went and bought a Chariot before getting Victor, I’m calling shenanigans, sand20go .

On the Chariots, well I really hate the horses and the models in general... Any one know of some alternative pieces that don't have horses and a MoW could stand on?

nah; just saw them on the group. Basicly they took the legs and plant the whole gun turret on it and get rid of the "chariot" kinda part of it. It looks more like a spider tank

If you ditch reinholdt and fiddle with the mechaniks you can fit another unit of something in there, such as this... conflictchamber.com/#c3201b_-0ThDf88p8pl586867Ml0l6l1kQKhador Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Armored Corps [Strakhov 2] Assault Kommander Strakhov [+22] - Victor [34] Man-O-War Drakhun [9] Man-O-War Drakhun [9] Man-O-War Kovnik [0(4)] Battle Mechaniks (min) [3] Battle Mechaniks (min) [3] Man-O-War Bombardiers (max) [16] - Man-O-War Bombardier Officer [0(5)] Man-O-War Demolition Corps (min) [8] - Sergeant Dragos Dragadovich [0(6)] Man-O-War Siege Chariot [15] --- I played the first list into an anamag PT of similar skill to me and ended up mostly tabling him, so I think it has legs.
