More painting done already! This is my magnetized Satyr.
As you can see, the Shadowhorn and the Gnarlhorn uses the same arms. That is because the Shadowhorn arms loot really stupid, and if anything they look like he is goring an opponent, which is more of a Gnarlhorn thing (counterslam).
I spent a LOT of time trying to paint the indented regions of the armor in the teal color i use in my scheme, but it takes forever, and it super hard to be neat. In the end i scrapped the idea (i think i even mentioned this on page 1 of this thread, that panting the circle armor the circle way is a waste of time, and now i have proven it to myself lol). In the end i went with a bronze metal look and had the cloth be colored in my green/turquoise colors and i think it looks just fine. Ill keep doing it like this for other beasts too. I am about to buy another Staryr and a warpwolf that i plan to magnetze too (i own three warpwolves already, but i got them when i brought the used army i started with, so i havent painted them or converted them myself, so they do not look exactly like my stuff. They are sort of place holders).
Below is my Brennos "conversion". Basically i do not think Brennos is very good, except perhaps with Morv1. As i do not plan on playing her extensively, i think this is a good way to spend some money. It should be easily identifiable as Brennos assuming i tell my opponent and there are no other goats in the list. Both seems reasonable, and if i manage to go to a tournament where they for some reason wont let me use it, ill have to play another list. Totally fine with that, as tournaments in Sweden are super liberal with this stuff

Oh, the staff on "Brennos" is attached to the model by threading teh steel wire through a hole i drilled in to the hand. Then the lower part is attached. It has a tube in it that matches the metal rod, and there is a small magnet at the bottom of the tube that makes sure that it wont fall off. The staff is made from steel wire covered in green stuff. Im actually very pleased with it

Nice work, I like the colour scheme, the armour looks good, and I'm very impressed by how good the eyes look despite being sunk in that armour. The magnetised cane works well and is very practical.

Cool stuff! I really like how everything is turning out. Just the well is a bit... Disturbing. The idea is great tough, with water this thing looks very peaceful, well yours not anymore!

I like the brennos conversion. I actually think he is okay with certain casters, but he's definitely not worth the money. Luckily I got mine for super dirt cheap.

The raptor looks great. I definitely agree with the choice to remove the metal claws, I didn't even realize you changed someyhing until you mentioned it. I'm personally not a huge fan of the lightning wings, but they're well executed and very striking. What'd you use for basing? Thanks man! The basing is pretty basic. The log is a... stick i found. Then i have a couple of pieces of rock (pine bark) and some sand for the soil. Then i add some static grass, some tufts and flowers and some vines (the army painter). It is the same thing i do for all my bases basically

I did a little bit of painting again!
I did some on-the-cheap primal archons.
I do not think the primal archon is very good, and i do not expect to use it very often, but these models work well enough for me to use them locally and at any swedish tournament and that means they work for all my needs. I played them yesterday and they were... OK i guess?
The models are virtually free $4.49 for TWO on mini market. The quality is not great, and i added some branches (old citadel wood that i had extra bits lying around from) to make them a bit more interesting. I think it gets the job done pretty much. They are smaller than a heavy (unlike the real archon) but i think that is more realistic as the stats of the real archon does not reflect it being bigger than a heavy imo.
The pain job is a drybrush and a wash basically. I added some glow to the eyes and the "heart" area but it is not really noticeable enough i guess. Still they look perfectly fine to me, and they were really fast to finish. I needed some quick mental reward to force myself to paint.

Nice work, I think the glow in the chest looks great! Bit of a shame the face blends in to the rest of the model so much, but that's normal for Circle constructs.

Nice work - there's only so much you can do with stone golems. I am definitely on board with proxying these expensive models.
