I'm pretty dang slow at this hobby, but I figure i might as well start a new army blog here. I might post some older things just for fun, but my newest thing is my Spriggan on a juggernaut chassis. I had bought a spriggan from a miniatures market, but never used him because I think the model is kinda ugly. Recently I had the idea to throw him on a juggy chassis. the spriggan definitely came out more 'knightly' and a bit beefier looking. I also tried to take some inspiration from the artwork for the positioning. Let me know what you think!

I had bought a spriggan from a miniatures market, but never used him because I think the model is kinda ugly. The Spriggan is one of my favourite Privateer Press models; certainly my favourite warjack design. Well, the old metal one anyway; he lost something in the redesign into a plastic multijack kit. Having said that, I always enjoy seeing conversions and customisations. Your Spriggernaut is highly unique. I suspect ge might look a bit better though if you could find a way to better blend the Spriggan hood into the Juggernaut hull; right now it... "breaks up the lines" a little bit.

So much this. I LOVE the old metal one. Beefier and more badass. The plastic one, not so much. PS I like the creativity in the hybrid design, jonnyboy!

I agree with you there, the older spriggan model was better. As for the head plate, I'm not sure what I would do, I was slightly aiming for something similar to a knight's helmet faceplate that has been pulled up. What were you thinking of?

I see what you're saying, it just doesn't quite read that way. Perhaps you could better communicate that by trying to add something that clearly reads as a hinge? Other than that, just trying to position it such a way that the angle of the top surface better matches the angle of the hull where they meet (just like it does on the original model) would look better. Anyway, it's a minor complaint, no big deal either way.

The spriggan and reckoner are like my favourite jacks aesthetic wise. They have their own unique look to them compared to all the other interchangeable garbage.
I'm sorry you feel otherwise. Good job on your conversion though.

I really like the change. But then I've never liked the Spriggan model. So something that opens it up and makes it look less like a ball with arms sticking out is a good thing.
