I like that they adapt.
Lock and Load EU - is the only thing I think was a shame not to go ahead.
Christmas stuff was late in 2 or 3 models cases - so I suspect production issues, and the CID seemed very crowded and messy. Smaller will be better. So I approve. If it gives the chance to revisit some of the older themes - I think that will be great.

I just hope that they put the rest of the Colossals in CID, it frankly takes the piss that the Stormwall and Galleon are 39 points, while everything else is going down to the 32 - 34 point mark and getting buffed. Why can't they just admit they fudged all the Colossals going into Mk3 (along with everything else) and just sort them out, rather than doing it piecemeal.

Without making promises, Soles has specifically commented that he's advocating for Galleon to be included in the Steelhead CID cycle as part of the ongoing revision of colossals.

I should hope so, it is patently obvious the Galleon is way over-costed, maybe PPS_Strawman is good for something after all!

Leaving cygnar's colossals behind and waiting for about a year until they fix them? Just do a CID with all the remaining colossals/gargantuans to be buffed/discounted already.

Leaving cygnar's colossals behind and waiting for about a year until they fix them? Just do a CID with all the remaining colossals/gargantuans to be buffed/discounted already. They are going to rapidly rotate through all the factions (just in groups of ~3 rather than all at once) surrounding their would-have-been-christmas releases, so there's ample opportunity for them to do so and they've displayed their intent to adjust colossals. All-faction CIDs are chaos and tend to result in less tested models so I think I'm happier about them doing it this way? Also cygnarguy I think jisidro just means that the Galleon's rules are fine as is and didn't really mean the power creep discount as a bad thing (ie a discount is all it needs)?

I have been changing my opinion as mk3 progresses regarding Soles. I didn't know at the time that he had been lead developer from the start and as I've said repeatedly I think the base rules are very very good. Then Cryx had a few changes and went from "utter garbage" to "All is well, Cryx is the army to beat" so perhaps he was right when he said that Cryx was ok. I found a couple of other instances where his view got validated as time went by... I still think he's not a good communicator and that mk3 was rushed by reasons I'd love to know into the disaster release and the especially dismal reveal and that has to be on him as well because he is lead developer.

He also aggressively said skorne's initial drop was very good and very competitive.

Whats wrong with a company man saying the new product is great when it isnt? Thats standard operating procedure.

Leaving cygnar's colossals behind and waiting for about a year until they fix them? Just do a CID with all the remaining colossals/gargantuans to be buffed/discounted already. Given that I am still waiting for the first real CID for my primary faction, color me wholly unsympathetic that Cygnar has a couple models that have been left behind. Talk to me when I can put druids, warpwolves, and wolf-sworn on the table and not feel competitively disadvantaged.

CID looks like an intense part of PPs developement. It's slow because there are many factions and at least 3 themes each... If we assume this logic is maintained there will be no new themes for quite some time and Circle needs 3 more cycles to get its 3 remaining themes looked at... So 2 years?
This feels like a soft rotation. You can use the models, there are legal and valid and etc... but it's unlikely a caster can put them on the table better than he can a fleshed out theme.
