Yay. Unyielding doesn't suck on .5" melee models anymore! Bad news is Errants still need a CID to be worth their points Don't think so. They are now a great unit with a disapointing mini-feat but filled to Menoth with support solos and casters that make them a real pain to deal with beyondtheir won self-sac ability. So many buffs to cryx, I know they were in the pipes but... Denny1 is probably going out of fashion (as much as she goes out of fashion) in favor of Denyy2 who was tired of warming the bench. SPD/MAT/POW buff and incorporeal... better have magical weapons or all those carapace jacks will be talking to you about Toruk. Blood witches really look better. Side-step is a great ability by itself but with ping-pong Gang looks like a great way to get more miles off their charges. Gerlak SlaughterBorn is now the greatest general with a Veterean Leadership and Elite Cradre and traded in crypto-abilities to turn Finisher into Weapon Master and Grievous wounds. Apart from Mechanithralls (AFAIK) the rest of Cryx is ready to be played.

A pretty significant change for Cryx is the Gun Slingers losing Blood Mist, they used to be able to create a complete cloud wall with Gaspy 1 or 2, now it is a bit more restricted.

If I played Cryx I would prefer Blood Mist, I am not saying Gunslingers are bad now, they are not, however being able to create a cloud wall at the expense of a few Blood Witches was pretty good

I loved the idea of the blood mist shots on the gunslingers, but when I tried to use it on the table I found that it was just too expensive for what I was trying to deliver. Basically i could get a solid heavy (or two budget heavies) for the price of the gunslingers-and-Mcthralls needed for two turns of cloud support. Cryx heavies can't kill enough upon delivery to make that trade-off worthwhile.
So yeah, it looked great on paper, but I always ended up losing hard on attrition once I put it on the table. Gimme the new improved gunslingers any day.

I totally understand Blood Mist going on the witches, because it was counter intuitive that they basically got nothing out of it (with .5" melee, they're always partially in the cloud, so no concealment and no LoS-blocking), but I wish they would've given something else RFP instead then. Heart Seeker on the Gunslingers is definitely an improvement, but continues on the theme of taking RFP away, which saddens me a bit.

Bloodwitches & Gunslingers losing their RFP modes is huge. Satyxis are nowhere near as good into recursion anymore, and I honestly don’t see much of a reason to play Bloodwitches anymore. Their niche went from Ambush, Entropic Aura, RFP Unit to Ambush, side step, Grevious Wounds in a faction with 8 point Stalkers & Satyxis Raiders that have an Overtake Prayer.

Blood hag got Dark Shroud, good for non scything touch casters

I’d rather just spend that 4 points on Ragman who can give Dark Shroud to Raiders, since I’m likely not spending my free points on a Blood Hag since I’ll likely be spending it on Axaria, Severa, Priestess, Raider Captains, or Sea Witches.

For those that are wondering I will soon have an updated cryx pdf, but you're out of luck if you think i'm going to update all models with unyielding across the game to the new wording.

I am interested to see if Deneghra1 is now the same sort of "bad" that Una2 was after her nerfs last year when much of the circle community abandoned her for months only the come back round and realize she is still great.

Why not use the conflict chamber pdf marvel (https://conflictchamber.com/pdf.html) on the PP head-turning pdf and be done with it?

If you run her she can apply it from 12.5" away, she also has Stealth and possibly Ambush to help deliver her. Also since they lost the pathfinder benefit from the theme, Ragman might need to be Saxon instead, so the Hag lets you keep hold of Dark Shroud. Also you can just pay for the Hag, she counts towards free points so no reason not too.
even on a Ghost Walk caster you likely want Saxon as you will have no Skarlock to spell slave it. then your Raiders can Whipping Winds and have Pathfinder

You can also just not play Bloodwitches and not have to worry about the fact they lost Pathfinder. I am interested to see if Deneghra1 is now the same sort of "bad" that Una2 was after her nerfs last year when much of the circle community abandoned her for months only the come back round and realize she is still great. Yes and no. Deneghra1 is certainly not bad, but there’s some pretty heavy competition in Cryx that can easily replace Deneghra1, unlike Una2 where Circle doesn’t really have anyone else who could step up to replace her. Asphyxious1 looks like a clear winner in that regard when it comes to taking over Deneghra1’s Scourge lists, and with Ghost Fleet recieving additional nerfs on top of the nerfs to Deneghra1, I don’t expect to see it popping up anytime soon. Deneghra1 definitely isn’t Sturgis2 tier, but at the same time we don’t see that much variety when it comes to Cryx casters. Only 9/20 Cryx casters made an appearance at the ATC. Pleanty of the Casters that didn’t show up are perfectly fine. There’s nothing wrong with Scaverous, Goreshade2&3, or Skarre2, yet they made no appearance. With the nerfs Deneghra1 is very replaceable, and I’d expect to see a lot more Asphyxious1 in her place.

I do use that in the process, but I prefer to read my cards 1 to a page. I mostly do Vassal gaming these days, so I do need to worry about printing.
