Tanith, Ragnor, and Maddox are all competitive casters, somewhere in the A-Tier range for their factions. Agathia is a solid B+ caster in a faction chock full of A-S tier casters. Kozlov and Malekus have game in some specific themes and lists. Kozlov looks a fair bit better if the unyielding change goes through. Kryssa is disappointing, unless you are JVM. Helynna is deceptively bad. Xekaar is hot trash. i'd stick maddox in B. She might be an A in other factions, but shes got extremely stiff competition in Cygnar to be considered A. I'd also not really say she does anything that warrants A shes just a solid all around package. All of the Mk3 Battlebox casters are, to one degree or another, nothing that warrants an "A" rating but solid all-around casters. They play a good game in battlebox games or low-point games, but as the games get bigger they don't really shine. They are mostly solid and competent, but nothing that is going to rule the game.

Yeah Maddox is not that good in Cygnar since most of her buffs are concentrate on the melee games, in the ranged heavy faction. Although she have some good units to play such as Trencher Infantry and Sword Knights, but she is not the all.rounder styled caster and not so good with every single Cygnar stuffs unlike Stryker1.
But at least she has Snipe so her choice of unit is not so restricted either.

PP should have put a Hammersmith into Maddox's Battlebox, it would have made her much more fun. Kozlov's quite good, although I've still not found a theme list with him I'm completely happy with. I really liked him with MoW Shock Troopers and Uhlans just after Mk3 came out and everything was in theme. He's definitely good at running MoW, genuinely in competition with Irusk1 (previously the best option) for that. He's currently the best Khador caster for double Shock Trooper units in a list - hot swap Tac Supremacy to get them up the board in shield wall, buff survivability in melee on feat turn (so you can charge if you want to) and increases hitting power too. Irusk1 is probably still better for a single ST unit though.

Helynna is deceptively bad. Xekaar is hot trash. You've piqued my curiosity. Why is Helynna deceptively bad? She's bad because the lists you want to play her in don't function well. She wants to run either Jack heavy or with double sentinels, but neither of those lists work very well. Jackspam isn't something Ret does effectively, because (unlike, say, Khador) our jacks are expensive and not particularly durable. Even Helynna's feat only gets them up to base-level khador durability. The list also has a lack of scenario presence because of the lack of units, and it really suffers because most of the good ret jacks don't fit into the ret jack theme. The exception is griffon spam, and honestly...either Vyros does it much better than Helynna does, if only because neither one of them needs to waste points on Arc nodes to achieve an acceptable level of damage output. Double sentinels on the other hand, does not function well with her kit. The only thing she gives them is the feat, and it's not enough to lets them survive dedicated counter-tech, or even most charging infantry reliably. Most damningly, she doesn't have any way to speed them up, which means they get to durdle along at speed 5 being shot at and out-threated by everything in the game. If and when we get a jack theme that allows Vyre jacks, I could see her being a thing, but at the moment there is no list that works particularly well with the kit she brings.

And her staff is Vyre tech and she wants to merge the best of Vyre and Shyeel tech. She'll be allowed.

She's dating Ossyan, though... Well Sorscha was dating Vlad once, look how that turned out. That was never a formal courtship, that was an affair that everyone knew about anyway. Also Ossyan isn't royalty and Helynna isn't a peasant.
