This makes incorporeal a worthless rule (hyperbole) in CoI. the only model it would be balanced on (maybe) in the game currently would be the wraith engine. All other incorporeal models would be relegated in to the "awful trash" pile since they now die to basically any attack in the game due to low ARM.
Incorporeal is something you plan for in list creation, just like high ARM or lots of models or the need to bring pathfinder options.

Funny, but any kind of competitive gaming is out of question when the whole "how to kill a model" relies on luck.

Yeah, luck in WM/H too, but the sheer impact of luck is abnormal in CoI. You can basically win a battle on those pseudo tough rolls if you are lucky.

I would be up for this. My biggest problem with incorporeal is that there is no way to get around it if you don't have a magic weapon. Things like stealth can be dealt with by drifting AOE's or just dealing with them in melee. But playing a game where nothing but your caster can even threaten a model seems silly. Just feel like incorporeal really stagnates list building options.

They just need to either not be able to contest, or be a non-scoring model.

They just need to get on giving every faction incorporeal units and jacks/beasts, and then it'll actually be the equivalent of high ARM or dude spam. As it is, ONE FACTION gets to pose a question that suddenly every other faction has to have an answer for.

Again. Company of Iron is not competitive. Its not meant to be competitive. This is the beers and pretzels game (I never got that saying, we have pop and chips down in California) we've been asking for.

I still think they could have showed something a bit more polished then "pure luck if your dude dies or not" but whatever.

As it is, ONE FACTION gets to pose a question that suddenly every other faction has to have an answer for. Well, it is not a very hard question to answer. It is not like high ARM that pretty much requires your whole list to be built to counter it. also, which ONE faction are you talking about? Cryx or Grymkin? Or does all the hordes factions count because of Gremlin swarms? Every faction should not be able to do everything. Then we might as well only have one faction. Every faction needs to be able to fight against anything though, and i do not think that any faction has too big of a problem with incorporeal. I might be forgetting a faction, but over all, we all have the tools available, right? Finally, it is not like every one except cryx has to prep for incorporeal. Cryx has to do it too. Just because you are playing cryx does not mean your opponent isnt

Totally pure luck with the amount of rerolls, tough, battle tactics, and other devices that can allow you to mitigate amirite .

Gremlin or Feralgheists, who are accessible to almost half the factions in the game if I'm not mistaken. You could also add Skorne (Void Spirits), Cygnar (Haley3) and Minions (Maelok) to the list btw.
