My favorite beasts with Borka 2 so far are Mauler, Earthborn, Pyre, Axer, and Rok, though I'm sure that the Brawler will be great too. I do like the idea of Long Riders with him, as they are just as fast, but I also really like Battle Bears, because they work with a larger theme of being mobile and able to project force where I want. Of course, Fire Eaters are good here as shock troops. This might be something to try: conflictchamber.com/#c7201b_-0GiV9DiRjoiU0hjq6Ghmj20ki-ezezTrollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Storm of the North !!! Your army contains CID entries. I really like the caster and i want to play him, but do we have a plan with him in this meta ? SoTN seems to be the obvious theme to play, but in the meta BoH is just better maybe. Can you confirm that the benefits with snow shroud have been replaced by a +1 to start ?
DO you think snow shroud useful ? I played a lot recently grissel 2 and with his very similar spell, it didn't help me so much. It seems to have some synergy with the few prowl models we have.
For me, i see his best strenghts with his profil, battle charged and attuned spirit. I'm not sure how good his feat can be as i never played him.

He will have a place in the meta very soon if Cat Lady waxes and Ghost Fleet wanes. If you need an answer to both, I suppose he could be built in Band with Fennblades and/or Long Riders. Stealth is helpful against GF, and the other half of the feat might be our best answer to Ferox. Madeka will not trade them 1-for-1 with Fennblades, and Long Riders have a decent chance to survive one hit from a cat. It sucks to play Band without Tough, but if you're relying on that you're losing anyway.

You're right, it would have to be Raiders or Fire Eaters in KC or any units in SOTN, so no this doesn't really work in Band at all. Great. That means that in order to beat Ghost Fleet with the same list, you would need an overwhelming ability to slaughter infantry, and Borka 2 is not our best choice for that at all. Still, maybe that's workable? I think this list could carve a path to Makeda or Denny before being overwhelmed. conflictchamber.com/#c7201b_-0GiVjoiU7h0h6G0ki-ezezj3j3Trollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Storm of the North !!! I'll put in my 2 cents worth, since I've been playing him since before the CID. My favorite beast for him, at least in the Hordes matchup, is the Swamp Troll. The Swarm animus combined with counter-charge is just silly, and if you can get a whelp in there too, it's just hilarious. I nearly made my local Skorne player cry when I told him he was at -3 to attack rolls with his Mammoth. My list from before the Themepocalypse is below. I don't own Rok, and don't generally plan around models I don't own. The Horgle-Slag unit is not nearly as important to me with the CID runebearer, but is still handy for not tying Borka down so he can countercharge where he likes. In Hordes/infantry matchups, I usually keep swarm up on Borka as well as the swamp troll. The Blitzer is a star at killing support with a Rushed Trample followed by shooting, although I recently discovered the joy of power attack Throw, then shoot. He doesn't kill heavies, but he can ding them up and take out the support behind them, which makes everything else in my army more effective. The changes I would love to make to this list are to get Mulg in somehow, and I am not at all sure whether I want to switch to the Northkin Elder or ditch the Horgle-slag module. Any suggestions? conflictchamber.com/#c7201b_-0biV5T0r9D0s0hjqed5LfJ6R6Rfp0k0mTrollbloods Army - 74 / 75 points [Theme] The Power of Dhunia !!! Your army contains CID entries.
