Then why are lessers present? Mention of warbeasts in the fluff is super general. Fluff speaks of outmaneuvering the opponent. So, not as fast as Ravens, but still agile. Too small to matter much, perhaps? I'm not actually sure. Lessers are available in all our theme lists, and they might just be an expected standard for legion. It could simply be because the list can include the spawning vessel and beast mistress, both of which depend on lessers being in the list in some capacity. As for outmaneuvering, that's what the entire faction does. Legion, as a whole entity, is a small, sugical, mobile army. Outside of something very specific (like Primal Terror), any army built around Nyss is going to be highly mobile and self-sufficient. That's intrinsic to their culture. Probably Okay, but when the highest speed model available is speed 6, the highest defense model is a warrior model and defense 14, I hardly see "agile" in this theme force. Really my biggest gripe with the theme is it doesn't seem to do what its supposed to do/presented to do.

Really my biggest gripe with the theme is it doesn't seem to do what its supposed to do/presented to do. It's presented to be a 'Nyss theme list'. Barring a thagrosh2 lesser spam built under CoTD (for some reason) it's going to do a pretty good job presenting that. And they're speed 6 contrast to speed 5 or less humans in armor. DEF 14 vs DEF 12 humans. It's fast compared to everyone else, not fast compared to itself. Remember PP's fluff blurbs are generally written within the context of the whole setting, not just one faction. That's why they called the archangel 'fast' in its release because, compared to most colossals, it was. The fluff also doesn't place anywhere near as much emphasis on speed as you are. It includes words like 'fast' 'outmaneuver' and 'agile' as descriptors to other subjects, like 'nyss shard' which shows up twice in that one paragraph. CoTD is a fluffy theme list. It's benefits contribute to making that theme work. Nephilim get Unyielding because the list's lack of heavies would would be very limiting otherwise. It includes Zuriel and Azrael because they're Nephilim.

The fluff says “agile warbeasts”. With the exception of the teraph (who makes up for it with AD), our light warbeasts have high enough speed to be considered agile. Especially the Raek. But, even on the note of the teraph, two of the Nephilim are speed 5 anyway, so thats probably a moot point anyway. Yeah but the model list itself is all Nyss. Even the lesser warbeasts are only valid because other Nyss models require them to be. Have you considered that the person who wrote the blurb isn't the same person who designed the theme? That it's just poorly worded? Occam's razor.

Then why are lessers present? Because Beast Mistresses are Nyss.

Then why are lessers present? Because Beast Mistresses are Nyss. And Shredders are obviously the favourite pet of every blighted Nyss. Also: They are more or less everywhere in the Legion so a theme force EXCLUDING the lessers would be weirder.

Which is why its getting criticism from me, because of a seeming lack of communication between the two parties. As for poorly worded, this is a game where wording is EVERYTHING. I'd be very surprised if even the fluff blurb is poorly worded.

Whether or not you agree with my logic or not is completely up to you. At this point its boiled down to a matter of opinion. I’m sorry my review isn’t to your liking, but oh well.
