Longchops (Gator sniper solo) in CID now has "Headshot". It is basically ranged Take Down. He works for all Hordes factions and cost 5 points for a RAT 7 RNG 12 POW 14 gun with reposition 3. He also places traps like Grim 2.
This is not a huge thing, but having one ranged RFP shot means the cryx player has to be much more careful with where he places his unit leaders, and that restricts his footprint a bit. I guess the drawback is that Longchops dies to two combined shots from pirates... So, maybe in lists with Warders?

Overall the best thing about the minion CiD is we all now benefit from it thanks to the theme force changes.

I liked Longchops already. Something stuck out in my mind when I saw that new rule, and I guess this must have been it. So thanks. Now if we can just give him magic weapon. I guess there's the KSB, or Marked for Death, maybe.

I've played him a couple times now and I think he might very well become a regular part of our "Cryx drop" lists. In particular, he's very good with casters who do board control anyway like Gunny and the Grims. I also want to try him with Calandra.
Yesterday I realized that if the Bomber activates first, Longchops can never hurt it with the trap and will keep most single-wound infantry from engaging it in melee. He was even able to vex the Stalkers because they have to walk to within 5 of their target before they jump. That would even work on Ferox if POW 10 could hurt them reliably. I think he will also be great against IFP because they don't have SW while moving and Kayazay because Acrobatics is not flight, just as Ghostly does not stop the trap.

Ferox have steady, so not to helpful there. Everything else seems fine.

Repo behind the Gobbers 5" smoke cloud?
I'm still awaiting Reinholdt to be allowed with Trollbloods. The diversity of lists that could then reasonably compete with Denny1+Ghost Fleet would skyrocket in #. Yeah, we got the KSB Elder, but really, ALWAYS?!

I am not nearly experienced enough to actually participate in CID though, I am still working at Battle Box level and getting the basics under my belt. Aren't they letting people in based on expected participation in CID?
