So the changes from CID are finally coming. So from now I will have to playtest these two lists before some masters that I would like to attend. What do you guys think about these two and about pairing them this way: conflictchamber.com/#c7201b_-0G539DiRjpiU0h0j6R0k0m___-0bfL9DiRfmjp0h7d6Rjq0k0mTrollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Storm of the North (CID) !!! Your army contains CID entries. !!! You are using a pre-release theme. (Doomshaper 2) Hoarluk Doomshaper, Rage of Dhunia [+27] - Dire Troll Mauler [15] - Earthborn Dire Troll [14] - Mulg the Ancient [22] - Rok [19] - Troll Axer [10] - Troll Bouncer [9] Troll Whelps [4] Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (min) [6] - Stone Scribe Elder [3] Trollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] The Power of Dhunia !!! Your army contains CID entries. (Ragnor 1) Ragnor Skysplitter, The Runemaster [+30] - Dire Troll Mauler [15] - Earthborn Dire Troll [14] - Glacier King [35] - Mulg the Ancient [22] - Troll Axer [10] Janissa Stonetide [0(4)] Troll Whelps [0(4)] Trollkin Runebearer [0(5)] Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (min) [6] - Stone Scribe Elder [3] THX in advance

I ADORE Rök with Doomy 2, but i simply do not think that it is worth leaving theme for it. Even if it is cool to have him berserk/overtake a bunch of things, he basically cost you two maulers/EBDTs in PoD. I would probably stick with a PoD build, though this is not bad. The Ragnor list looks solid too. I can not find anything wrong with that. As for the pairing, i am less certain. Both lists are beast bricks that want to fight in melee. They do not seem to cover each other very well. Granted that Doomy2 with Rök is better against infantry than a "normal" Doomy2 list, but i still think that your two lists are a bit too similar. I would probably keep one of them and pair with a shootier list (it is Grissel2 and Calandra, right?). Grissel 2 in BoH seems popular to handle things like Ghost Fleet. EDIT: if you are not using the ADR, you could chose from more casters than G2 and Calandra ofc

I have been playing Rok under Doomy2 for some time and I cant imagine that list without him. I know your are right Trollock but I just cant. Personally I would like to pair Ragnor1 with this list: conflictchamber.com/#c7201b_-0b7e0r0rc60h0j6R6Rjq0k0mTrollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] The Power of Dhunia !!! Your army contains a CID entry. (Grissel 2) Grissel Bloodsong, Marshal of the Kriels [+27] - Dire Troll Bomber [19] - Dire Troll Bomber [19] - Mountain King [36] - Troll Axer [10] - Troll Bouncer [9] Troll Whelps [0(4)] Troll Whelps [0(4)] Trollkin Runebearer [0(5)] Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (min) [6] - Stone Scribe Elder [3] Do you think that this kind of pairing would work or should I stick to something like this: conflictchamber.com/#c7201b_-0a7e0rc60j6G6R0k0m0b0cTrollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Band of Heroes (Grissel 2) Grissel Bloodsong, Marshal of the Kriels [+27] - Dire Troll Bomber [19] - Mountain King [36] - Troll Bouncer [9] Fell Caller Hero [5] Troll Whelps [4] Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (min) [6] - Stone Scribe Elder [3] Trollkin Fennblades (max) [15] - Fennblade Officer and Drummer [5]

My instinct tells me that the BoH version of Grissel 2 probably covers the match ups required better. As a stand alone list though, i prefer the PoD version.

This is what I just built: conflictchamber.com/#c7201A_-0a7e0r9D6G6R0l0m6m6kbK0b0cTrollbloods Army - 80 / 100 points [Theme] Band of Heroes !!! Your army must contain at least 122 total points. (Grissel 2) Grissel Bloodsong, Marshal of the Kriels [+27] - Dire Troll Bomber [19] - Dire Troll Mauler [15] Fell Caller Hero [0(5)] Troll Whelps [4] Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (max) [9] - Stone Scribe Elder [3] Long Riders (max) [20] Trollkin Champions (max) [17] - Skaldi Bonehammer [5] Trollkin Fennblades (max) [15] - Fennblade Officer and Drummer [0(5)]

Is it just me or is the Mulg Arc node amazing? Combination of an arc node + shockwave/hex blast won me a few matchups right now.

I had thought that the new Mulg in POD with Ragnor would be strong, but I don't think I ever got around to actually playing it. I was also looking at the Brawler and a build like this: conflictchamber.com/#c7201b_-0bfLjn9D9DiRjp0hjq7d4k6R0k0mTrollbloods Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] The Power of Dhunia !!! Your army contains CID entries. (Ragnor 1) Ragnor Skysplitter, The Runemaster [+30] - Dire Troll Brawler [16] - Dire Troll Mauler [15] - Dire Troll Mauler [15] - Earthborn Dire Troll [14] - Mulg the Ancient [22] - Troll Axer [10] - Trollkin Runebearer [0(5)] Janissa Stonetide [0(4)] Lanyssa Ryssyl, Nyss Sorceress [4] Troll Whelps [0(4)] Krielstone Bearer & Stone Scribes (min) [6] - Stone Scribe Elder [3] But I might try minimizing the stone like this to squeeze in Lanyssa, and a second Mauler feels like a safer bet than a second Earthborn or Brawler. I do like the Brawler with Pulverizer though.

You can get 2 bashers for the price of one brawler and still have 2 points to spare (maybe gobbers)
they only have 3 fury, but they still can hit at pow 20 (rage + stone + pulverizer)
not too shabby for a 7 point light. You might be able to trade up that way or atleast cripple a heavy severely

You might be able to trade up that way or atleast cripple a heavy severely Trading up is the whole point of the Basher, which is why I have an eye on it- for another list. That being Grissel's Missiles. Ragnor does like hard-hitting lights and I might have to try that, but the Brawler has two pow 17 initials, both with reach.
