I was thinking about how to handle the new scenarios, just with Trolls in general. Half of them are pretty centralized, which has historically not been a problem for us, but the other half are quite spread out. Each of those has ways in which it may or may not be a problem for us.
Feel free to discuss them in general, or any specific scenario, how you think it could pose a problem, and how you intend to solve it.

This is hilarious but true. I often line up entirely on one side of the board, play through and clear one scenario while leaving 2 whelps on the other side of the board.
They can't control zones, but they can contest and save me 2 points. I'll leave them behind a forest or exactly 10" away from the zone on the opposite side. If the opponent sends resources their way it makes it a bit easier for me to push through the zones towards that one, but thus far (perhaps it would be different in different meta) they have left them alone or waited to kill them until they were in the zone. Many opponents even ignore them if the terrain makes it particularly difficult to get to them and they simply sit on the zone and nullify it the entire game.

I've done that, it was hilarious. He was playing a vicious Skorne best brick, but I controlled his flag with one whelp and contested his zone with another for enough turns to win on scenario.
Actually he loaded up on one side and I took the center, but the principle still applies.

Granted, it's easier to get away with that if you go second, but it does sound like a good way to deal with going second. There have been times when I wondered if I should have skewed deployment, so thanks for explaining how better to make that work.

Looks pretty neat, though im not super fond of the battle group. Even with calamity you can not crack serious armor. I would minimize the stone, exchange an EBDT for a Mauler and add in a Feralgeist perhaps...

I would minimize the stone, exchange an EBDT for a Mauler and add in a Feralgeist perhaps... Yeah, but I wanted to see if I could build for speed, if only as a thought experiment. I think as long as each list can deal with ARM 20 then it's okay if one list can't deal with ARM 23.
