Got me on the counter charging, and I think Tactician judging from your previous post, but Protectorate still has the Book. Between 2 attacks+Chain:Smite vs Precision Strike+Counter Charge. I'll say it's mostly a wash between the two models.
They still fill a mostly unneeded role IMO.

They still fill a mostly unneeded role IMO. Maybe unneeded but not redundant and I love the fluff. The idea that Khadors Military can reach such levels of fervor, they reach the levels only granted by divine miracles.

Can anyone tell if the Man-O'-War on the chariot has an axe? I can only assume the thing is going to be charging into melee.

Wow didn't catch the inhuman resolve on the Iron fang solo. Legion of steel allows to take small base solo, so she can be taken for free. I'm liking her so far.

I don't know what the models do, but aesthetically I find them all pretty awesome! maybe Sofya is the weakest one, but she still looks good!
On the mechanics side of the equation, Sofya looks great! She's an additional solo for Legion of Steel and at the very worst she will allow me to drop one Kovnik.
Also, what are the chances of the Heavy MoW having Roadblock? Those big shields seem like something you could hide behind.

Large MoWs might be a decent Blizzard target for letting Ternions make a cloud wall.

Is anyone else interested in the connotation of 'heavy' in heavy man-o-war? Is this just their way of naming them without an official title? Could it represent a new line of 'light warjacks' karchev style? No focus allocation or battle group status though.

What I want to know is why the one with a cannon only has one cannon. His center of gravity is way off this way.

I do wish our new MOW get to be interesting.
As much as I like the Man O wars, they are kinda dull and plain as an infantry force. They lack models for enough hits, and as great as the shocktroopers are, I wonder how even after cid they would work together.
Like what are they even gonna be/ gonna do?

Let me guess, mows have carapace, something like 16 boxes, one has flak gun (autohitting blast in radius), the other has armor piercing single shot. I have no idea how they will make mow shooting work, probably the Battle engine will knock down stuff with it's gun.
Any new fang character is welcomed in theme, you get it for free anyway.

OK, I'm going to disagree with the whinier contributors to this thread and point out some of the more interesting tidbits from the pictures. Sofya - others have pointed out some great things about her, but don't forget that the Iron Fang Kovnik has No Sleeping On The Job (Iron Fang), so if she gets whacked while an IFK is nearby she is not falling down. Another thing is that her model is showing a blasting pike, so she will be able to knock down enemy models. That will be easier with her MAT:8 and since she has weapon master she is doing 4D6 damage on charges. And counter-charges. Ouch. Oh, if Kovnik Markov is nearby she will be able to go through other Iron Fangs to do this also. MOW Siege Chariot - The two things that are sticking up on the back, with what look to have pistons modeled on them to raise and lower them, look like a cross-blend of the "rails" one would find on towed artillery cannons and the back-blade that would be found on self-propelled artillery. If Privateer Press put them on there to be an indicator of how powerful the cannon is, and not to look pretty, we might be getting a serious piece of ordnance. And a pair of completely deaf horses. Heavy Man-O-War (with the 2 shields and 2 12-barrel guns in the shields) - I wonder if the guys at Privateer press are basing this off of the Metal Storm weapons system developed out of Australia? Lol just noticed that the two Heavy MoW have actually two different weapon loadouts.
Almost certain it's a multi kit

I don't like the new mows design wise but they're probably not definitive. Even the forge seer was quite bad on his first apparition. Maybe they will want to rethink that a bit because such static design is too old and outdated to work. Thinking about it, that models remind me of 40k centurions, models far from being the best ones gw has made (to be gentle... They're borderline horrible)
The female if looks a good concept to me. Will see how all this will develop rule wise.
