Rowdy I'm sorry you're having a hard time with this change, but you're being a bit rediculous. I don't mean that to be insulting, but you are. The ability can clearly be only used once, and the effect of the ability is wrote in single use terms also. Perhaps it's best if you just wait for an official ruling.

She's pretty much perfect caster for WGK. The only caster that's more powerful there than B3 I think. Each turn cast long ranged curse and windwhatever. Feat turn is bananas, you get up to 14 focus to work with given all the discounts. Sac pawn means you can play forward and go all out on focus every turn and her spell list is amazing.
Sample list: OW2 3x juggy Carriage 1x fieldgun 2x mortar Joe Full wgi Full wgrc Big mechs
The joke is that she can screen her army tanking the small arms and sac pawning away the big guns.
Of course you can run here anywhere else. The problem would be spending points on Ragers to keep her alive. Though I don't mind spending those points in Jaws or LoS on shield guards anyway.
Regarding once per turn. She acquires the ability itself once, then uses it a lot of times. At least that's how I see it.

Rowdy I'm sorry you're having a hard time with this change I don't think I'm being rediculous. And I have no idea how you can call it a "Change" when its not changed at all and is the exact same way it was before when it was supposed to do something that I say and not you say. At BEST you could say its not clear. But to say "Well its intended to be this way" is just blatantly and completly and deeply utterly incorrect unless the designers decided it will function that way after having that exact same wording function the way I say it does.

Ok that ruling gives her quite a bit more flexibility. She might be a slightly better jack caster than Karchev.

Ok that ruling gives her quite a bit more flexibility. She might be a slightly better jack caster than Karchev. It's very deceptive power. Kharchev is a quite bit more survivable than her, which gives him more capability despite being a large base. She's less survivable and on an even BIGGER base. So she will pretty much be needing to cast Windstorm every turn. That's 3/4 Focus burnt already. Now, by all means, that's very impressive effects she can pull off, but not all at once. Shes a very reasonable caster. She kinda wants to do a bit of everything.

I really like how flexible she is. If you're going to invest the money and paint-time in a Huge 'caster, it's nice that you'll be able to play her alright in more than just one list.

Honestly in my opinion shes the only Huge Based Caster worthy of a Huge Base. All the other ones are like "I'm the same Warcaster as before....But now I'm on a cart!" She on the other hand rides a giant house robot with a mega turbine that empowers all her magic, giving her the abilities of a focus 9 caster despite being only focus 7.

Is there anything preventing a huge caster from taking Sylys?

I feel like I have done a great service to the motherland. Hail Witchy!
WGK should make her nigh untouchable at range.
But do I really want to spend the £100+ to buy her?

Is there anything preventing a huge caster from taking Sylys? Just war room errors. I've noticed a few tonight.

Gotta admit, I kinda want to get more Grolars now Think about it, use Wind Storm to force the opposing guns to get closer, then use Power Magnifer to fuel a bunch of Grolars. If you're smart you may even be able to land a Curse of Shadows in between turns, that's the equivalent of a truck load of POW 14 guns .... or just take rockets I guess

It's about roughly +1.5 in Accuracy.

So I just got home from work downloaded War Room and caught up with this thread. I'm so excited about OW2.
First off, I was also in the CID. and posted multiple battle reports. Power magnifier was played the way Rowdy Dragon described for three weeks, and with no wording change it would just be absolutely shocking… Shocking, I say, for the intent of the rule to change after the playtest design.
Second, there were two changes made to her released card versus the week five play test. The first is that her WJP increase from 26 to 27. I think that's a good change. Her Vexing Alignment machinery also changed back to 4 inches. That's a big, big deal. Some critical week three and four changes stuck as well, including the increase in her speed from 5 to 6 and the increase in the range of her gun from 10 to 12. Good to see that those stuck.
Old which 2 may indeed be our best jack caster now. You can, if you want, literally fully fuel seven jacks with 3 focus each who can get multiple Attack rerolls on the feat turn. (Probably won't happen, but bonkers good if it does).
But, she also does combined arms really well. I think she'll love both Jaws and WGK. She absolutely can really make both assassins and Rockets sing. I'm guessing she can run Legion fine, and all of those power solos will appreciate Windwall and 1 point boundless charges, but I haven't played LOS yet. I've played a lot of jaws and WGK, can you he sure will like those two themes. If we do ultimately wind up being able to take either a Merc solo our unit, or potentially both, In theme then I just won't be able to see any reason to not play her in theme. During the play test I used Ayinna with her and she really likes the double Armor debuff. A&H with Valachev in WGK will be bonkers good.
However for me an OW2 combined arms army should have a minimum of four or preferably five jacks with her given how well she can fuel them up, and keep in mind thats Divinator is battle group only.
I we're also agree that a Grolar with her is good. The armor 14 guns are Sweet!
Obviously she likes all of our 10-14 point Jacks, and Behemoth. Boosted pow 16 Bombards are...really good. I want to try double Decimators with her. They will appreciate the extra focus, and I think building out this way could help against Oracles...and also help with scenario presence. Toeing the zone? Not any more!
i'm not yet sold on reconstruct initially going on Behemoth if you take him. I think it ends there, but it doesnt start there because initially you're going to want to send out cheap Jack's into Melee, Big B is probably hanging back, and you may have Windstorm up anyway.
Hmm. Will she be added to the ADR casters list?
