Web of Shadows is only good in a single situation and that is -3 defense during assassination runs. If that's not what you're doing you may as well never pop it because, yes, the threat of shadow bind is stronger then the effect itself. When a feat is better off never being used 99% of the time, it's a bad feat. Deneghra1&3 both bring Scourge & Goreshade3's feat applies Stationary both of which are much better at assassination especially in the context of their full ability load out. You want to Shoot people to death with jacks you can just bring Skarre2 who has Black Spot & Future Sight, Mortenebra1 with Tune Up, Sac Lamb, & Feat Rerolls, and Soon Skarre3 with Guided Fire. We have many more casters who do a better job of turning our ranged jacks into assassins. It's not a good reason to play Deneghra2. Deneghra2's only selling points are Curse of Shadows, Hellmouth, Marked for Death, Venom, & Wraith Walker and the fact that 3/5 of those are absolutely devastating into the Cryx mirror. It's good for all sorts of things if you're willing to use it creatively. I used it as a way of countering Una2 in her previous incarnation (biles applying shadowbind in order to making killing griffons easier). I've also used it to make Banes more accurate against Legion heavies, to slow down troll medium base spam and to shadowbind the leader models for calvary. It's a *situational* feat for sure, but combined with her spell list it still makes Denny2 a caster that I win with and enjoy playing. Figuring out creative uses for it is half the fun.

I have found Denny2 is the type of caster you play because of her entire toolkit rather than the feat, bit like Scaverous.

Scaverous feat is just a turn of better toolkit, still that makes it a strong feat IMO... if denny2 got scaverous feat that would be freaking amazing (3 hellmouths with dj), or even better: something like gaspy/butcher3 where she would replenish her focus... with dj, 2wws and a soul it would mean 4 hellmouth in a single turn with 3 focus to spare. Another thing to add is that you cant find a situation in which Scaverous feat is going to do nothing, whereas denny2's one is pretty much the opposite I mean, yeah, you bring scaverous for his toolkit, but he has the advantage of having an always useful feat that empowers what he is: a toolkit

They didn't do it for Wurmwood.

theyd add "can only be cast once a turn" to hellmouth Why? They didn't do it for Wurmwood. The whole scenario revolves around denny2 getting scaverous's feat. which isnt going to happen. so dont worry...

Any picked a side in this generation's great decisions? Star Trek Discovery vs. Orville
I haven't gotten a chance to see Discovery yet, but I did catch the first episode of Orville. That was not the Galaxy Quest TV show the commercials made it out to be. Best description I've seen was, "Star Trek: To Real Edition."

I have not seen Orville yet. Don't think it is officially out in the UK.
Discovery - I went into this with an open mind. It's not too bad but after the ending I do wonder where they are going next regarding the federation side of things.
Not a fan of the new Klingon look. It is way over done in terms of bling. I liked the look they had in the new films, which seemed stripped down and practical. I know the guys we saw were the high council but they didn't look very manoverable at all.
While I am at it...federation uniforms with too much gold bling and no departmental colours? Uck.

I caught the first half of the first episode of the Orville and while Adrienne Padalecki is super hot, I just couldn't get into the show. I was expecting a lot more galaxy quest and a lot less modern family. It was basically a relationship show, not too much of a sci fi parody.
As far as the new star trek goes, caught part of the first episode. Maybe I need to watch the entire thing but I just couldn't get into it. The look seemed gritty, the dialog was terrible, and just not what I wanted in a star trek show.

I think Orville got promoted wrong. It really doesn't seem to be a parody at all. I'm not even sure it's a comedy.
