They also grab corpses from any living or undead model now. So that annoying warpwolf or mirror wraith engine can become a little thrall after it dies.

And Sac Pawn to any thrall....!
Also, 1" melee range on Brute Thralls.

Now does that justify bile thralls?

I don't know if it justifies them, but it certainly does make them more appealing to begin with. At the very least you can keep the numbers up. It really justifies taking multiple thrall units, because you are going to get to put models back on the table almost for sure.

Now does that justify bile thralls? Not really. If however infernal machines allowed any 1 small or medium based thrall unit to ambush then they would see play.

Now does that justify bile thralls? Not really. If however infernal machines allowed any 1 small or medium based thrall unit to ambush then they would see play. they would need to stipulate min units only or nerf biles to pow 10 or rng 6 or remove cont corr as it stand it leaves the caster with a 16" road down the center of the map to play with. to many people would crucify PP for that

In my head i think its going to be stipulated by caster. With gaspy 3 i think carrion thralls win for a recuring ashen veil target. Being difficult to kill in melee at effective def15 will pay dividends on the upkeep cost. I think biles mah fit well into a Coven list. Theyd benefit most from stealth/ghostly and the ability to bring back models from the approach will help with keeping them in the game. Especially hiding behind the new SR los blocking central terrain and cloud. Plus its a good point trade. at mins mechthralls are worth 1pt, carrions 1pt and biles 1.5. We can effectively trade up in points just with our own models.

This actually allows all sorts of abuse. For example you can trade up from mcthralls to bile thralls/carrions or vice versa depending on your needs in the game. It also means you can screen with carrions/mcthralls and let them become a wave of biles later. Bile spam particularly interesting with any ghost walk caster and Darragh. 14" threat autohitting pow 12s (for .9 points each if recycled from McThralls) that can wander through free strikes will kill many a caster.

With the Agathia you can have stealth for your entire army on the approach and ghostly for most of your army via a Skarlock and hellwrought DJ. Try this on for size: Bane Witch Agathia - WJ: +29 - Skarlock Thrall - PC: 4 - Deathjack - PC: 23 (Battlegroup Points Used: 23) - Deathripper - PC: 6 (Battlegroup Points Used: 6) Wraith Engine - PC: 15 Pistol Wraith - PC: 0 Bile Thralls - Leader & 5 Grunts: 9 Carrion Thralls - Leader & 9 Grunts: 10 Carrion Thralls - Leader & 9 Grunts: 10 Mechanithralls - Leader & 9 Grunts: 9 - Brute Thrall - PC: 2 - Brute Thrall - PC: 2 - Brute Thrall - PC: 2 Mechanithralls - Leader & 9 Grunts: 9 - Skarlock Commander - PC: 3 Necrosurgeon & Stitch Thralls - Necrosurgeon & 3 Grunts: 0 Necrosurgeon & Stitch Thralls - Necrosurgeon & 3 Grunts: 0 THEME: Infernal Machines

Recurring Carrion & Bile Thralls is extremely interesting especially now that we get the corpses off of every undead. I can live with not getting Veteran Leader.

I'm happy with powered bane warriors, do you have any ideas for list with warriors Tartarus and attachment?

some things didnt make the cut even though the final CID revision we saw they did. like no vet leader on necrosurgeon. BUT! she can bring back any small based thrall. i think brutes got 1" reach. anything else? Off the top of my head: - Sepulcher now also collects corpses from friendly living and undead models provided they were killed by an enemy attack or continuous effect
- Necrosurgeon collects any undead or living, can bring back any small based Thrall model, even Stitches
- Bane Knights got cheaper, lost Vengeance, gained Wall of Steel, gained Set Defense.
- Bane Warriors got slightly cheaper, Officer & Standard got cheaper, Granted: Tough is on Standard (already was just before the CID) and minifeat was changed to just recur D3+1 models
- Bane Riders picked up Vengeance and 2" melee range, lost Curse, but got MAT 7. Note that Vengeance is on the Leader model (for the whole unit), so can be removed from play
- Wraith Engine's Unhallowed gives +2 ARM against magic and ranged to all undead (even itself), no more blast immunity. Gained Rapid Strike instead of Cleave. Note that unlike the final version in CID, making a Machine Wraith does remove the model from play
- All Mechanithralls picked up an extra DEF, base unit got a little cheaper and Brutes got 1" melee
- Tartarus got cheaper, lost Curse but picked up Veteran Leader
- Desecrator got +2 POW and RNG on the gun, Scather swapped for an alternate rule that doesn't affect Undead.
I think that's everything?
