some things didnt make the cut even though the final CID revision we saw they did. like no vet leader on necrosurgeon. BUT! she can bring back any small based thrall. i think brutes got 1" reach. anything else? Off the top of my head: - Sepulcher now also collects corpses from friendly living and undead models provided they were killed by an enemy attack or continuous effect
- Necrosurgeon collects any undead or living, can bring back any small based Thrall model, even Stitches
- Bane Knights got cheaper, lost Vengeance, gained Wall of Steel, gained Set Defense, lost Curse, but got MAT 7. Note that Vengeance is on the Leader model (for the whole unit), so can be removed from play.
- Bane Warriors got slightly cheaper, Officer & Standard got cheaper, Granted: Tough is on Standard (already was just before the CID) and minifeat was changed to just recur D3+1 models
- Bane Riders picked up Vengeance and 2" melee range
- Wraith Engine's Unhallowed gives +2 ARM against magic and ranged to all undead (even itself), no more blast immunity. Gained Rapid Strike instead of Cleave. Note that unlike the final version in CID, making a Machine Wraith does remove the model from play
- All Mechanithralls picked up an extra DEF, base unit got a little cheaper and Brutes got 1" melee
- Tartarus got cheaper, lost Curse but picked up Veteran Leader
- Desecrator got +2 POW and RNG on the gun, Scather swapped for an alternate rule that doesn't affect Undead.
I think that's everything?
i thought riders *lost* vengeance? but i guess a quick app look would solve this... (yep im wrong) (knights still have mat 6 and never had curse, maybe it was a wrong copy/paste for riders)

Oddly enough, Riders (on the card database) only have Vengeance on the leader, meaning they can lose it if he's RFP'd.
I wonder if this is intentional?

For completeness sake here are the development notes for Cryx.
CRYX
Master Necrotech Mortenebra Replace the first sentence of the Overrun spell with the following:
When target model in the spellcaster’s battlegroup destroys one or more enemy models with an attack during its Combat Action, immediately after the attack is resolved one model in the spellcaster’s battlegroup that is in its control range can make a full advance, then Overrun expires.
Overrun had an unforeseen interaction with the impact attacks of Kallus 2. Limiting the trigger to the model’s Combat Action resolves that issue, though it has no effect on Cryx currently.
Desecrator Increase the RNG of the Plague Bringer to 12 Increase the POW of the Plague Bringer to 14. Replace the Scather special rule with Void Field:
Void Field – This attack’s AOE is a hazard that remains in play for one round. Non-undead models entering or ending their activations in the AOE suffer 1 point of corrosion damage.
As the warjack that gained the most from its inclusion with Bane models in the upcoming Dark Host theme force, we wanted to give the Desecrator a slight bump in power so it would be a stronger choice inside that theme. With the increased offensive capabilities of its ranged attacks as well as replacing Scather with a more directly useful version for undead models, we hope this jack will work its way into more lists.
Sepulcher Replace the text of Necroharvester [4˝] with the following:
When an enemy living or undead model is destroyed within 4˝ of this model, this model gains the destroyed model’s corpse token. When a friendly living or undead Faction model is destroyed by a continuous effect, an enemy attack, or collateral damage from an enemy attack within 4˝ of this model, this model gains the destroyed model’s corpse token. This model can have up to three corpse tokens at any time.
With this change, we hope players with armies based on Mechanithralls and Brute Thralls will be more inclined to include their themed colossal.
Bane Knights Reduce the point cost for Leader & 5 Grunts to 9 and for Leader & 9 Grunts to 15. Remove the Vengeance special rule. Add the Set Defense special rule to Bane Knights:
Set Defense – A model in this model’s front arc suffers –2 on charge, slam power attack, and impact attack rolls against this model.
Add the Wall of Steel special rule to Bane Knights:
Wall of Steel – While this model is B2B with one or more models in its unit, it gains +2 ARM.
Changing the design direction of Bane Knights from purely offensive to a more defensive role helps differentiate them from Bane Warriors. Combined with some of the defensive spells and abilities available in Cryx, the Bane Knights are infantry that can become very difficult to remove while carrying a solid melee threat.
Bane Riders Increase the MAT to 7. Increase the RNG of the Bane Blade to 2. Remove the Curse [Bane Riders] special rule. Add the Vengeance special rule to Bane Riders:
Vengeance – During your Maintenance Phase, if one or more models in this unit were damaged by enemy attacks during the last round, each model in the unit can advance 3˝ and make one basic melee attack.
The Bane Riders are seen as the “fast” Bane option. Bringing SPD 7 and a 2˝ melee range to the table, they out-threat all of the other Bane units. Combine their Reposition [3˝] and Vengeance with Ghostly and the unit can really get places that you would not expect. The loss of Curse in exchange for a flat increase in MAT makes their impact attacks much more reliable and makes the unit a little easier for newer players to use.
Bane Warriors Reduce the point cost for Leader & 9 Grunts to 16.
Bane Warriors had all of the stats and rules we wanted to see on the unit. Reducing their points simply makes them a more attractive and competitive option inside of Cryx.
Bane Warrior Officer & Standard Reduce the point cost to 5. Move the Granted: Tough special rule from the Officer to the Standard Bearer. Replace the text of the Void Bringer special rule with the following:
This model can use Void Bringer once per game at any time during its unit’s activation. When this model uses Void Bringer, return d3 + 1 destroyed Grunts to this unit. Place the returned Grunts completely within 3˝ of this model. Returned Grunts must forfeit their Combat Actions this activation.
The changes to this command attachment are mostly for quality of life. Reducing the point cost is always helpful in bringing the power level of a model or unit up, while moving Granted: Tough to the Standard Bearer allows the officer to play farther forward without being as tempting of a target for the opponent. The change to Void Bringer enhances the consistency of the unit while also removing a huge possible swing in power should the Bane Warriors get tangled up with a large amount of living infantry.
Brute Thrall Increase the DEF to 12. Increase the RNG of the Heavy Steamfist to 1.
A slight bump in DEF gives the Brute Thrall a bit more survivability on the tabletop, and the increase in its melee range to 1˝ lets it pile in behind a line of Mechanithralls to attack the same target, allowing for a much more aggressive unit.
Mechanithralls Reduce the point cost for Leader & 9 Grunts to 9. Increase the DEF to 12.
Reducing the point cost of the “swarm” infantry of Mechanithralls brings a little more merit to their design intent. The increase to DEF 12 gives them a tiny bump in survivability, especially in large numbers.
Necrosurgeon & Stitch Thralls Replace the first sentence of the Body Snatcher special rule with the following:
When a living or undead model is destroyed within 5˝ of this model or a Grunt in its unit that is in formation, this model gains the destroyed model’s corpse token.
Replace the first sentence of the Resurrectionist (★Action) special rule with the following:
Remove up to three corpse tokens from this model to add one small-based Grunt to a friendly Thrall unit in this model's command range for each token removed. Place these Grunts in formation completely within 3" of this model. They must forfeit their Combat Action the turn they are put into play.
Replace the Sacrificial Pawn [Stitch Thrall Grunt or Mechanithrall] special rule with Sacrificial Pawn [Thrall]:
Sacrificial Pawn [Thrall] – When this model is directly hit by an enemy ranged attack, you can have one friendly, non-incorporeal Thrall model within 3˝ of it directly hit instead. That model is automatically hit and suffers all damage and effects.
The Necrosurgeon underwent several iterations in this CID cycle, and we ended up a little farther from its original form than we anticipated. Allowing it to interact with all of the small-based thrall units really opens it up for inclusion in a variety of lists and, we think, makes the models much more interesting.
Bane Lord Tartarus Reduce the point cost to 6. Increase the MAT to 8. Remove the Curse [Bane] special rule. Add the Veteran Leader [Bane] special rule to Bane Lord Tartarus:
Veteran Leader [Bane] – While in this model’s command range, other friendly Bane models gain +1 to attack rolls.
Bane Lord Tartarus received mostly quality-of-life changes, making him easier to use and allowing him to function more fluidly on the battlefield.
Wraith Engine Increase the number of damage boxes to 26. Remove the Cleave special rule. Add the Rapid Strike special rule to the Wraith Engine:
Rapid Strike – This model can make one additional melee attack each Combat Action.
Replace the text of the Soul Bondage special rule with the following:
Once per round when a living enemy warrior model is destroyed within 2˝ of this model, you can replace the destroyed model with a Machine Wraith solo. The destroyed model is removed from play and does not provide a soul token.
Replace the text of the Unhallowed special rule with the following:
While in this model’s command range, friendly Faction undead models gain +2 ARM against ranged and magical attacks.
The Wraith Engine became a support powerhouse for the undead portions of Cryx. While still not having a huge offensive potential, the change from Cleave to Rapid Strike really opens up its damage output against heavier models while retaining the same level of anti-infantry it has always possessed. Changing Unhallowed to affect all undead instead of just incorporeal models affords Banes and Thralls a serious bump in survivability against range-oriented lists.

Pretty happy with the changes actually Now, because you always have to keep asking more, Cryx needs more plastic infantry Mechtralls would be really cool as a plastic kit, maybe Bane Knights as well. Or a Styx two-in-one.. no, all three please ^_^

Oh yeah, this may also be the place to say that the Desecrator seems pretty good now. RNG 12 POW 14 is good enough to shoot at 'jacks (and also PC 14 is good). I've been meaning to get one for a long time, but this is probably going to push me to do it sooner rather than later.

It's issue is that it doesn't enjoy playing into the meta of Guns & Khador Heavies.

So does this mean we can now also trade the stich thralls into biles/mcthralls/carrions. They do collect from their own unit since they are undead models right?

It's issue is that it doesn't enjoy playing into the meta of Guns & Khador Heavies. Yeah, that was my impression as well, though the gun never seemed strong enough to really threaten heavies. POW 14 isn't an amazingly potent gun, but with Mortality or Parasite it starts to look pretty good, and RNG 12 means you aren't going to almost certainly get charged and wrecked if you move in to shoot.
