So i got an iron fang pikeman unit and have bought a second box. I have the feeling, that i might field 2 units iron fang pikemans pretty regularly and am debating if building a second ifron fang unit ist the right choice.
So my question is: Do you field black dragons regularly ore only once in a blue moon ?

I used to use double dragons in almost every list in MK2, but with MK3 they are not worth the upgrade, IMO. I suggest magentize unless you really want to field more than 2 units.

BD guys are nice as small 10pts unit that can work on its own. It is a very rare case when you need that. The only caster that has a full BD as a regular appearance is Strakhov 2

When I get around to it, I'm mulling Black Dragons with casters who can give them reform (Irusk1, Kozlov1). Side Step + Reform gives a nice potential to charge/advance in, do damage and then press deeper into the enemy lines. Unlike Regular IFP, it doesn't require a mini-feat.
They're also more independent than regular IFP. Practiced maneuvers means they have less need to stay near Markov (or Irusk2). In a LoS list that can help with spreading the army when it is required or makes Markov less of a linchpin that enemies know to target.

Outside of LoS I don't tend to use them that much. Generally they don't do much more that the regular pikemen don't do. Apart from sidestep and the ability to ignore each other. But if you're going "full pike" you'll probably have Markov hanging around to give tactician. And the defensive parts of the IFP are pretty good anyway.
But with a caster with repo (or maybe even Vlad3 with dash.) You could use sidestep to move around people to block things up.
And if you can get a speed boost on them, you can shield wall Iron Zeal sidestep lock up and cause hassle.

My current legion list runs two black dragons as well as one unit of regular pikes. I like the black dragons quite a bit, especially against certain knockdown/freezing casters. Having at least one of each isn't a bad idea.
