From the Company of Iron Insider: Agata, Queen of Carnage (Farrow Solo): Coming Octoberish?  Anyone have widower's wood and know more about her? Company of Iron Insider mentions her as a brigand leader, kickstarter stuff calls her a slaughterhouser. I would assume she's both, as one can be in IKRPG. I wouldn't mind a melee assassin solo like totem hunter with some movement tricks that let her interact well with Helga's feat. Looking forward to Helga lists full of armored farrow warrior women once the Valkyries come out. Hopefully they make that a theme force someday. From the kickstarter stuff: "Agata, the tough farrow brawler, gets in close, smashing apart her foes with her furious farrow fists." "The Cleaver"  Slaughterhouser tag. 12/15 8hp. Relentless charge, Take down, and something that appears to be a 360 ~ 2" reach thresher based on how spaces work in that game. When stats are translated to tabletop: .5 reach mat 6-7, Pow 8-9, maybe with weaponmaster or finisher? Hopefully she's gained some experience wandering the woods. Honestly, I hope all Widower's Wood stuff gets used to flesh out the minions lineup: Swamp Gobber Boss Solos with pistols Olo, character croak raider/hunter solo? Rasheldonak, Character Witch Doctor Club/Tomahawk Gatorman variants, Bog Trog Blowguns Spear Bog Trogs Tatzylwurm Viper lesser warbeasts Hell, give us the necromancer as a lesser warlock solo that can only use boneswarms and can make risen/thralls like alexia. Not as sure about the pistol wraiths and deathless but i'd take it. |

I hope that she does something a little more for other units... not that combat solos aren't welcome... but honestly they've pretty much died off as of mark 3 I've found. Though if she does help farrow out I'll probs get this starter box not going to lie!

Cant say Ive even purchased my ticket for the hype-train yet. With 4 months till her release it hasnt been a big ping on my radar.
Now if PP announced a date for Valkeries I would be a very happy piggy indead. Here is hoping that Agata is a solo for such a unit.

The fact that she's the commander of the starter set for Company of Iron gives me some real hope that she'll be a utility piece. Renaming her from a Slaughterhouser to a "Brigand Leader" is real interesting too. I don't think she's likely to give us any real defensive tech (which is what I want most for pig infantry), but speed buffs and Reiville/No Sleeping on the Job would help.
I don't want another Maximus. He's a gorgeous model and fun to put on the table but we're in a position where he doesn't receive buffs, he doesn't give buffs, you can't get him for free in theme, and he doesn't contribute his points towards free models either. I still wish he had a place in my Carver list, but Lanyssa going up in cost bumped him well and truly onto the shelf.

If she had No Sleeping on the Job [Farrow Warrior Models] she'd appear in every Helga list ever  Even if they avoid giving it to the warlock, that'd be a sweet ability for farrow. Same thing for any of the Tyrant commander abilities. HelgaHelgaHelga. My Maximus is similarly shelved with the piggy Gudrun conversion I hope to use someday. |

That's pretty funny, Maximus is auto include in my Carver lists and the only farrow (non caster) warrior in my competitive list pair No sleeping on the job seems unlikely to randomly give all our casters steady. Though Helga would suddenly be competitive. Something that encourages her to be aggressive rather than a Kovnik Joe or Tyrant Commander would be good. I'm just expecting a combat solo with a minor buff like a low cmd veteran leader or reveille. Can we PLEASE get the theme changed to remove the non character limitation and just say 'no Rorsh can't be free'?. Or release a non character solo :/ |

I'm not expecting No Sleeping on the Job, it was just an example of the sort of ability Agata would need for me to seriously consider her. Pigs don't need more accuracy (every single Warlock in our arsenal can provide some form of +2 to hit, our standard fighting infantry can be Mat 8-9 or Rat 7 on their own) or hitting power (three of five Warlocks can buff damage output to ridiculous levels, and Helga can do it too with set-up), so I'm not hankering for any ability that would boost Brigands' or Farrow infantry in general's output. I'm looking for better delivery, which can translate as ways of speeding up pigs or ways to make them more survivable. I can't think of too many solo-based abilities that would fit a model that looks like Agata, but that's the rough ballpark I'm hoping for. Sure, she could make pigs better with Gator/non-Minion Warlocks, but as a pig player I'm not looking for that  Can we PLEASE get the theme changed to remove the non character limitation and just say 'no Rorsh can't be free'?. Or release a non character solo :/ Absolutely. It's frustrating as anything to have a Farrow theme force that all but says "No free Farrow solos". |

I'm not expecting No Sleeping on the Job, it was just an example. Perhaps increased tough Threshold (4,5,6), although trolls tend to hate us enough already. |

If she is a pure combat solo and does not synergize with other models, her utility will be questionable.

So with Primecast mentioning Beastwardens, a Hordes equivalent for 'jack marshals, I can certainly imagine that Agata would be one. And that certainly is an exceptionally exciting thought. We have pretty minimal Warbeast support and a model that actually interacts with them is pretty cool.
That said virtually all our Warlocks are big on the battlegroup effects, so she'd need to be pretty exceptional to be considered outside of Company of Iron games. Fingers crossed that PP are learning from 'jack marhals and how rarely they appear.
