Yeah can't really argue with you on that, Hark's sculpt is way cooler than Malakov's sculpt.

I converted Irusk2 to Malakov, but replaced his flag with a body he's using the shield himself from arrows.

Now that I think of casters that I don't want to touch competitively: Sorscha1 and OW both have good assassination, control feat, conceal on demand and speed up their jacks, but Sorscha1 is plainly better. B3 and B2 are both one man army that speed up and damage buff their jacks and generates focu on feat, but B3 is plainly better. Strakhov2 and Kozlov are both about giving a big portion of their army +spd/arm/damage, but Strakhov2 is plainly better. Harkevich and Malakov2 are both about speeding up their jacks, reposition, saving their battlegroup on feat and having no hit/damage buffs, and I have absolutely no idea which one is better, but Malakov's sculpt is ugly. Z2 won't have a theme this year that can be used with her. Eh she can do the Jaws theme, Forge Seers and Sac Pawn means the 'jacks can run pretty efficiently. Eliminators can be good Arcnodes.

Malakov 2 is the absolute Bananas if there are obstructions on the field. Walking through them and getting a Backstab off becomes almost trivial.

Z2 won't have a theme this year that can be used with her. At that high a level of generality you can say this, but generalities can fail when you get more specific. We'll assume no theme here, because some casters aren't so good in the themes which are available at the moment. Take Strakhov2 and Kozlov. If I want to play MoW, I might not reach for Strakhov2. His damage buff is generally going to be worse in the context of low-model count units which have high durability. The speed buff is trickier to assess: in the context of a MoW Shocktroopers, it does give greater walk + melee threat, but lower overall movement than reposition while in Shieldwall. Kozlov also has the feat for if he really needs 8" walk to melee for shield wall units. Kozlov can also hand out pathfinder - only to jacks, but that's still great and something Strakhov does struggle with. So it's not as simple as all that, unless you always start your list planning process by thinking about what caster you want to play, and designing the army around that. I don't do that all the time, but maybe I'm weird in this regard. But if you're talking LoS, Strakhov2 is better. Despite Kozlov being closely linked to the Iron Fangs. Not that this annoys me as a matter of design.

I unfortunately sold it, as well as a a sizeable portion of my Khador and all of my Skorne to friend when I needed cash to pay tuition.
