I like this problem. It means there isn't something so simple as a Cryx drop because there are only a couple of viable builds. It makes things harder, but that's part of the challenge. I think the solution might be to think about the themes slightly differently. There's a tendency to design theme lists to maximise the free points, which are a clear advantage of the themes. But doing that requires a very considerable expenditure on jacks (Wolf) or warriors (WG Kommand and LoS). But going too far infantry heavy or jack heavy risks gaps in what a list can achieve. It's too early to say, but might Jaws (for example) be better with a full unit of Kayazy Assassins to jam/delay the Banes (or Exemplar) as well as the Eliminators and Widowmakers that are often picked up? Could WG Kommand benefit from more jacks in the lists? If that ends up happening, I think PP will have done a good job of overall game design in encouraging more balanced lists. Well looking at what dominates major tournaments its reliability and not spam. Even Irusk 2 Plays Jaws of the Wolf with a Bunch of Kayazy Assasins, and Even Kharchev has a unit or two of WGI. I think they did, but the excitment of spam blinds people a bit.

ii) Remember the recursion and stationary interactions. FROZEN leaders can NOT issue orders. However, recursion models CAN take a movement and action even if the rest of the unit is frozen. Last time I checked this specific thing in rulebook it was the other way. Can you point out a confirmation to your statement? Let me dig. This was a MK2 thing and I perhaps overlooked a caveat in MK 3 (thought I don't think so). Most of the time it doesn't matter as MOST recursion in MK3 is "forfiet combat action" so it isn't as punishing. But the ghost fleet comes back on Maintenance.

Freezing Grip makes the whole unit Stationary. So any models being returned that are part of the unit would still be Stationary.
Feat is just models in LoS and Control. So any returned models would be able to activate normally. Though if the unit leader was Stationary they wouldn't be able to do anything that required an Order.

Thanks Netherby, that is the correct statement

I don't think it works that way? Like, the spell makes all models in the unit stationary when it is cast, but it isn't an upkeep or anything; at that point you have a bunch of models suffering the Stationary effect, but the spell is over, so any models that are added to the unit afterwards don't suddenly become stationary, at least I don't think they do.

It is a spell effect that goes on a unit and last for one round. Look at Pg.65 of the rules.
'When a spell or effect affects a unit, it affects models that are later added to the unit until the spell or effect expires.'
