We get a theme (eventually) for our Man O Wars that is just a pile of skornergistic rules and two new models Tankers and that silly ass Egyptian styled MOW Chariot. Skornergy has a specific definition, it doesn't exist to highlight rules you don't think are powerful enough/dont like. Maybe you could point out where the MoW theme has rules that counteract one another?

The new Skorne theme has me optimistically hoping that we will get...
... omething that updates HUNTING WOLVES.
I want my KHVanguards back on the table! Give me that and I'll be ready to run it. Merge it with Strakhov's old Black Ops theme and it would even give them something to throw Assault Kommandos into. Even if it's restricted to a few warcasters like the Skorne theme - Malakov, Strakhov, Zerkova, perhaps? - that would fill a nice hole in what I can't put out of my collection on the table.
If I'm really lucky, PP might give me a reason to put the Demolisher I got for Hunting Wolves lists on the table again, too.

Happy 5778. May you all be inscribed in the Book of Life.
And your enemies crushed under the red boot heels of the motherland.

@ mcdermont - the Skornergy I was referring to is giving the slowest theme we have advanced move but only letting it apply to models we don't even have yet. One is the solo and the other is a battle engine. The battle engine sounds like it's going to be a real mess, if it's fast then the advanced move is not necessary (compared to other parts of the theme) and if it needs the advanced move to get in front of stormtroopers then it is a failure at the design phase. We need something in theme that is able to respond quickly in theme to developing situations other than Drakhuns. Drakhuns are too expensive in a theme where everything else comes at a premium. Now if Drakhuns are free in theme or count towards free points they might get played but otherwise I don't see them seeing much table time. Our slow units Bombardiers and Demolition Corps are ones that need help getting across the table before being shot/alpha'd into oblivion. Now if they were to get some kind of attachment that gives something like Carapace or the choirs Passage then maybe speed will not be as much an issue.

You've seen like the gun on the battle engine. It could have that gun, AND all the other rules the gun carriage has and be freaking great. You have no idea whatsoever what the tankers do.

What i see is "all your heavies have Caparace" vs "your shitty mechanics heal 1 more point"

Yeah, but the difference is that Cryx heavies need that not to get their arms blown off some some random Uranus with a boostable hand cannon.
Or the first charging almost anything that connects, not that it helps against that. Our MoW theme will really depend on how good the new releases are going to be, we just know too little.

I think the people poohpoohing that +1 repaired haven't actually done much looking at the math of MoW + ironflesh vs shooting. Nor shocktroopers in shield wall + iron flesh vs charging infantry.

Then I'm waiting for the theme giving our jacks SPD 6 and an arc node Reminding me yet again why PP nuked their forum, and why CID has a 'trusted tester' class.

Yes, of course, because Cryx needs to have no weaknesses because it is doing so badly...

No its because people devolve to salt and sarcasm on forums pretty quickly and fans generally have zero perspective outside their desires for their personal faction.
Edit: Oh noes muh carapace, never mind a single charging IFP does 20%+ of a slayer chassis total damage boxes.

So? Cryx jacks are fragile in exchange for DEF 13 and SPD 6, Khador jacks are slow, Menoth jacks are bad without Choir, Cygnar jacks are expensive.. so you want for every faction to be the same faction, or you just want for some factions to keep their strong points while losing their weaknesses?
