Well, no one have any posts for this on here so I post it now. Although my experience of Retribution was stopped at MKII era without any update so I don't have exact situation of Retribution, but perhaps I can understand what Retribution can even now.
For warcasters..
I don't get why Elara2 have Reposition[5"]. I know it is better than nothing. But you know, she has Teleport already. Yes you can save 2 focus point to go backward up to 5", and it is never be a bad idea. But was she famous for the assassination run by herself, or enjoy charge and kill stuffs personally then Teleport back? I think that Caine(of Cygnar) can, but is she has real advantage for this since you can put both Boundless Charge and Ghostly on your heavy instead? Still, better than nothing, and you may move up to 11" after cast a spell on turn 1.
I have no idea(literally) for Falcir but I understand that it is a straight nerf. Well, was casting Cyclone and trigger Paying the Price broken or annoying to actually play?
It seems Kaelyssa may use her ranged weapon easier. Change it to the default ability seems a good change. ROF 3 instead of ROF 1 and Reload[2] is good too - since it's the gun of the warcaster(that you need to protect for all cost or lose the game, as well as every single focus points count), I think that it is nothing wrong. Perhaps she can be overpowered combined with Synergistic Magic? But you know it needs some setup before actually do something with it.
Swap Locomotion by Energizer from the warcaster is one of the best change through the game I think. Up to spend 3 focus and all you can do is spend 3 focus to advance a battlegroup model up to 3"? No kidding. Ah, also drop the COST of Open Fire - a ranged attack of a warjack/beast with an unboosted damage roll is nothing more than a pillow fisting joke unless your jack/beasts' ranged attack has an additional AOE effect.
Jack has nothing special - whole faction in the game got discounts for some models, and myrmidons gains nothing farther. All they have other than the discount is the change of some common ability.
Warden Executioner was nerfed, and the result seems familar with what I saw on the suggestions of CID - replace dual attack by gunfighter.
Although it is not changed, but untouching Ghost Sniper seems somewhat weird. Some of you already know that Cygnar has their counterpart - Arcane Tempest Rifleman, who was basically a 4pts Ghost Sniper with Reposition[3"]. Now the rifleman is 3pts, while Ghost Sniper is untouched. Yes Cygnar has plenty of shooty solos so the rifleman needs something special among the pool but the Ghost Sniper didn't have much other options threatening his place in Retribution(as the others already pointed on the other thread) so perhaps it can't be helped, and the fact that Sons of the Tempest, the only theme force(other than Hearts of Darkness) that allows Arcane Tempest Rifleman is sucks. Also Ghost Sniper can get Reposition[3"] if you choose Defenders of Ios.
An another point I am nearly miss; why no point discount or the other changes on Elara1?? The other first generation character Battlegroup Controller gains either discount(Tristan and Malakov), personal improvement(Jakes and Aiakos) or requires more premium but has an interesting tool(Crosse), but why nothing on Elara1? Yes Ghost Walk is tasty, but even Journeyman Warcaster of Cygnar(who is infamous for his/her Arcane Shield) also become 3pts now so why she can't even expect for a point drop? Well, perhaps they try not to change the models they have touched recently, but I think that if Journeyman Warcaster - a solo that gives a warcaster-level spell that is not battlegroup exclusive - has a point drop then Elara1 can expect the same reward.
Well, it seems Retribution didn't got much changes, other than a hail of global discounts.
