I haven’t played warmachine for well over a year and now that my gaming group is starting to get back together, we’re focusing on brawlmachine level games. So, between a new format and an extended time away, I was hoping I could get some advice/questions answered...
1. Armored Corp is by far my favorite set of Khador models. What’s the best way to run them in brawlmachine? 25 points doesn’t exactly allow a lot of support, and I remember AC requiring a bit of support to be effective.
2. I own both kinds of tankers, but honestly I’ve never been able to use them well. Granted, it’s been a long time, but I’ve read so often about how they are essential to the theme. I can see the suppression tankers utility against infantry, but I don’t see the strike tanker being that good... a single shot? And even with ARM piercing, only pow8? But I’m totally willing to admit that I can’t always see how things are useful...
3. How would you go about using Sorscha3 in brawlmachine if she were my choice for AC? I’ve played only one game and I totally had no idea how to use her. I used the suggested list with beast09, a marauder, and full demo corps with drago as my main players... I got destroyed by a gaspy cryx list, like, badly.
Any help or insight is greatly appreciated!

I haven’t paid any attention to Brawlmachine, so I can’t be of any help there. Sorry!

I had a bit of a discussion about Demos versus Shocks in Brawlmachine the other day, and I'm still not convinced that Shocks aren't the better choice. I feel like their higher survivability, threat range and volume of attacks makes them the better overall choice in such a limited format. I suppose the volume of attacks thing doesn't matter as much if you are running them with a Supression Tanker? And of course Sorscha is one of the best casters for Demos as she can freeze stuff for them. Still though, Demo Corps without anything in front of them feels like fighting an uphill battle to me.
Can you describe what happened in the Gaspy match? Were you unable to leverage the cloudwall to get ahead on scenario or pull off an alpha? Did you bring the MOW Kovnik to give your melee only models that bit of extra threat range?

As always, SPD4, relatively low threat, low Def and decent armor is a rough match up against the Parasite and Crippling Grasp faction.
And yeah, I think Shocks are better. Rack on a Devastator/Juggernaut Battlegroup and, after slapping Iron Flesh on your Shocks, that is one chonky brick.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I’ll post something of a battle report a bit later when I have more time, but the biggest question I have from the game is how to use sorscha and her feat in this format. I didn’t have Atanis so moving S3 around was hard because she was stuck behind the demos. With her only at move 4, argh. I just don’t know how to play her. What’s the best way to apply her feat?

I think Sorscha3 wants a bit more army, swap her out for Kozlov, he does mostly the same thing but is probably a bit more comfortable to use.

... What’s the best way to apply her feat? The basic idea is: Turn 1: Wind Rush + charge Turn 2: Advance, Wind Rush, feat. Block all non-cold-immune single-wound infantry out of scenario using the clouds.

Also, look at the other list; S3 is fairly sturdy and probably won't die to some random pot shots or a spell or two. Especially in Brawlmachine where people (mostly) do not have the ability to go "square grid removal" on your ass you can loosen up on the screen.
