Really nicely done. Is that glow effect done by airbrush? It's fantastic.
EDIT: Nevermind, I see the explanation on your blog. Well done!

Thanks, I feel like drybrushing is capable of more than most people give it credit for.

I think you might need a third color, at least for the larger models. Not sure if a second glow or a second metal type would be better. If you want to have a focal point you could try using a different glow for the face area (violet?). That or something with the shoulders. Also the chainsword being highlighted with a glow effects looks a bit odd to me. I guess I understand the intent but maybe the tips should still be metal? And because the ports on the right shoulder part are sunk in a little I'm not sure the glow would actually spread out like that. Though you might want to ask someone who is a lot better at glow effects than me.

I agree completely about the third colour, I've been considering aadding a violet glow recently. But I feel like I want to stick to my established colour scheme, for consistency but also because, as the thread title suggets, I'm being lazy with these models.
I decided I wanted it to look like light was leaking out from the seams of the raised bits on the shoulder; no reason why, just thought it might look good.
I initially made the tips of the chainsaw teeth the brightest part of the glow, but I decided it didn't look that good and applied the glow at the base of the teeth instead. The area is so small that the entire teeth needed to have the glow shade or else the glow wouldn't have looked very bright.

I find the model gorgeous. You bravely kept it simple an dI love it. I think the glow all over the model gives it a great ghostly vibe!

I think you achieve a better look by toning down the glows in certain areas. For example, if you confined the glows on the arc receivers (the little radar dishes on the back/side of the model) to just the channels, I think it would help focus things a bit.
I also agree with the “third color” suggestion. Maybe lavender-ish armor plates like the void gate color?

Looks good but yeah, as Michael said: if a light source is enclosed on the sides there is no reason for it to illuminate all around it. Especially with awesome looking but agressive lighting like this you gotta keep asking yourself "is less more?"

if a light source is enclosed on the sides there is no reason for it to illuminate all around it I disagree. If you look into a flashlight or other bright light, you will see an area of haze or glow that surrounds the lightsource, even though there's no surface for light to be cast on: I dunno if it's light reflecting off of dust or something happening inside the camera/eye, or both, but it's real. More importantly, when it comes to painting, you need to have cast light in order for a lightsource to read as a lighsource, even if it's not realistic for light to be cast directly on the surrounding surfaces. Of course if you're referring specifically to the ports on his right shoulder (I assume you were referring to what Olaf said, not Michael), as I already explained I painted it that way because I liked the idea of light leaking through the seams.
