I've been toying around with swapping the Halberdier package out of my Syvestro list. Resolutes offer so much more to the list while still being a pain to deal with.
Let's break down some of my thoughts here:
-DEF12 base, goes to 14 with Transmute. They have Set Defense and I'm packing an Archon for Awe. You can also position the Liberator cheekily for Ashen Veil for another 2 DEF. The Railless can give them Concealment (the Archon also benefits from this). If you're fighting Infernals or Undead you get to add in 3 ARM on top of all this DEF for free.
-P+S 13 base, goes to 15 with Mosby, 17 with Transmute. That's before the myriad of ARM debuffs at our disposal. Then add in their self buff against Soulless and Undead and they're hitting very hard without any debuffs.
-They have boxes. This means Syvestro has a good target for Revive, finally. You can Revive a Resolute and then either heal it with Mosby, Repair it with Mechaniks, or top them off with feat.
-They have decent guns. POW13 base at RAT 6, 7 with the Archon nearby. This means they are doing work on the way in and not just looking pretty.
-The Battle Priests help protect Mosby, who for me has always been the weakest link in the unit he's attached to. The Archon also being a Shield Guard is good for the same reason.
With all of this in mind, I'm going to start some testing with the following list:
Crucible Guard
[Theme] Magnum Opus
[Syvestro 1] Aurum Adeptus Syvestro [+28]
- Liberator [10]
- Suppressor [13]
- Toro [13]
- Aurum Ominus Alyce Marc [0(5)]
Crucible Guard Mechanik [2]
Crucible Guard Mechanik [2]
Morrowan Archon [8]
Trancer [0(3)]
Trancer [0(3)]
Dragon's Breath Rocket [0(5)]
Order of Illumination Resolutes (max) [13]
- Doctor Alejandro Mosby [4]
- Morrowan Battle Priest (3) [6]
Railless Interceptor [16]
Railless Interceptor [16]
It still brings the normal Syvestro goodies while also getting to play with some new toys. When I get a chance to play I will stop in here and post an update.
