conflictchamber.com/#b31b_-0xgy7q0d0d7thF7phF7p868H8z8B8G8cKhador Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Jaws of the Wolf (Malakov 2) Kommander Andrei Malakov [+28] - Devastator [14] - Juggernaut [12] - Juggernaut [12] - Marauder [10] Greylord Forge Seer [0(4)] - Destroyer [14] Greylord Forge Seer [0(4)] - Destroyer [14] Battle Mechaniks (min) [3] - Battle Mechanik Officer [3] Kayazy Assassins (min) [9] - Kayazy Assassin Underboss [0(4)] Kayazy Eliminators [5] Kossite Woodsmen (min) [7] This is a list im gonna try out. The idea is that I can split up most of my army into self-sufficient task forces and hopefully disorient my opponents.

You got kossites. That should at least let you get a clock advantage cause they won't stop laughing ;-)

I think if Rowdy Dragon can play all of these "task forces" in a way that screws with the opponent's head, and the opposing force has a soft back-side or exposed flank, the Kossites could be a game changer.
Let us know how it went after you use this army.

I guess the idea is to get the backstrike plan onto the ambushing kossites?

Take Kodiak for cloudwall. I think you're better with adding Behemoth on caster if you take 2x Destroyers already, just sit behind clouds and shoot. You can replace Kayazy or Kossites for snipers to improve this plan.

I guess the idea is to get the backstrike plan onto the ambushing kossites? That's the Optimal idea, but not the only one: It's also to kill Support Solos, Deny Charges, or Deny my Enemies Access to Cover or Concealment. With that much stuff to do, I at least consider them an OK 7 Point Investment. Il try that out after I try out Double Destroyers.

I rather like the list, frankly! It's got a good mix of heavy and support, with a caster who can support everything!

Just a question, why Malakov2? The destoyers wont benefit from escort or the feat, which is pretty much the reason to take him if I'm not mistaken. Also the list doesn't seem to have much targets for the battle plans.

Just a question, why Malakov2? I like him. Like what he does. Plus I was listening to this and thought of him: But they are meant to be the separate backline artillery. Being able to split up, means splitting up enemy forces. 2 Destroyers is much harder to deal with then 1 Behemoth (Which is the primary reason I chose 2 of them and not a Behemoth). The more separate the forces are, the more I can just dedicate something to kill each one separately. Killing Khadoran Jacks is exceptionally hard, and will Punish "Damage" feats or boost because since they are not all clumped together, they can't all be targetted. And the ones clumped together have the defensive feat. Eh I think I have enough. Im planning of giving the Assasins Reposition, and hopefully with Viel of Mists, they can get a charge off, and then reposition behind the enemies, and with the promise of Backstabs, would mess up the enemy.

I've liked taking destroyers with malakov. At least 1, usually 2. They can make use of escort later in the game, and it's nice to keep one of them back with him, since he will want the armour bonus from Escort.

Also the list doesn't seem to have much targets for the battle plans. We can have some synergy here. The marshals will double up as sac pawn targets for Malakov. The knockdown plan can help Destroyers hit. The veil keeps them safe All kinds of kayazi and sometimes kossites can benefit from backstrike plan. Malakov himself doesn't get to fuel that many jacks or buff damage and Destroyers don't need escort that much so marshalling them makes sense. I think something like this has it's merit as a core of the list: Malakov - Behemoth - Kodiak 2x Seer + Destroyer Snipers + marksman elims min mechs For example doing this on Hark will need at least 1x more Kodiak for cloud and a dedicated shield guard jack. No plans for kayazy. And Destroyers outside battlegroup will still be unbuffed. Doing this on Vlad/Butcher/etc. means no clouds. Doing this on Zerkova 1 is probably the only other realistic option. Z1 actually looks great for this concept of shooting jacks+cloudwall.
