Hello all, I have been painting minis for around 3 years but this is my first WH miniature. Great fun to paint and looking forward to painting more!

Nice work, you clearly know your way around a paintbrush!
The green hair is very cool, but I'm not sure about the green legs or gun details. I'm not sure if he's supposed to be wearing trousers on his legs, but even if so I don't think they should be the same green as the hair. Ditto for the gun stock; if they are different materials they should probably be different colours, or at least slightly different shades.

I've been thinking the exact same thing. Probably going to go to the same red as the cartridges in his chest. I wanted to tie it together and got it wrong unfortunately. Thank you for your input

The hair and pants are different shades of green, right? Pants look more bluish. Soul's right, if you want to stay green I'd suggest trying something simila to battledress or thornwood green. Darker and way less saturated. I'd suggest switching the green on the gun to either gold, brown or red like the sword handle, personally I don't think old guns with fancy colors on them look good. Overall the model looks very yellowish, might be down to the lighting?
All that said, your brush work is very good. Looking forward to seeing what else you create.

He was my first ever Warmahorde mini too! Yours looks a whole lot better than mine does though

Good suggestions.
I would like to reiterate that Carver is very well painted. Your shading and highlighting is fantastic: it adds a lot of depth while being smooth and slightly subtle.

I like the green hair as well. Good contrast in your mini too...that's something I've been trying to force myself to do - more contrast. A lot of my older stuff from years back looks pretty bland because I hadn't mastered the technique. It really does help a mini stand out, especially on a gaming table when viewed from an arms-length away.
