Hi, I was hoping somebody could confirm where the main timeline for the lore is at right now, Ive just spent the last month reading every warmachine/hordes book from the very beginning and have just finished Reckoning and Devastation which were released in 2015, Is that the end of the timeline or does it continue somewhere else? I heard somewhere that Vinter is king again and what happened with Goreshade and the Skorne invasion? Where is all this? Also are the novels just more detailed stories of past history or do they advance the plot? Thanks

Lots of lore is also in (old) No Quarters, even some conclusions to story lines that were started in the books. The new Warmachine/Hordes books don't have much relevant fluff anymore, and were discontinued anyway, but the few issues of No Quarter Prime that exist do have some, especially for newer models. Actual stories were released in novels over the past few years (though there hasn't been one in a while) and can be found here. Some of them are quite decent, others... less so. They are indeed new developments and not just rehashes of old ones. Vinter is not king and the book you're looking for about that is The Blood of Kings. Another good book to read about what happened during the "time skip" of MK3 is Wrath of the Dragonfather. I also enjoyed reading the Caine novels and they partly tie in with how Caine develops in Blood of Kings. The others are all decent to get to know more, but are not always to the same quality. I honestly don't know how the thing with the Skorne and Goreshade ended apart from some hearsay, I don't think it's actually in any of the book, unless someone can contradict me?

SPOILARS AHOY!
tey year is late 611 or mebbe early 612. king julius is king of cygnar. cygnar and khador declared piece for 3 days and then went to war again over who haves a legitimate claim to the lalalese throne as if there were any other nations out there to give a damn about international agreements and legitimacy. guess they both really want to impress Ord
so cygnar, kaydoor and menothland are ina three way war for lael with asslynn still actin like she can get the country to be just laell again but she can't cuz she's dumb.
also teh grymkin just got there but nobody sems to notice or care. teh skron failed to conqure ios and so dey attacked menothland and killed severryus and now nobody knows who is gonna be king there
captain phineass shoe went on a very boring quest for teh macguffin and found it but den lost it and his crew is cygnar's prisoner til he gets it back for them
cryx aint doing much but pissing off caine who is going to war with cryx by himself
nobody still seems to be aware dat teh retribution of scyrah is tryin to kill all their wizards so they suck at their jobs
and all of thes dangling plotlines may never get finished cuz nobody bought teh boosk but me i guess.

You can buy them through Amazon (if you got a tablet) or through official PP store. I think hard copy or digital is available for both. Also the Caine - Hellraisers, -seekers is good and Watery Graves get you all caught up. And all the NQs. And the Strangelight Workshop book.
