So, what you're saying is that the War Dog needs to hand out Guidance? I think War Dog needs to become an FA2 solo with the Client rule instead of Attached. Oh, and he needs to be 1 or 2 points As cheap filler that doesn't take the caster attachement slot he could be an interesting pick, but yeah he'd need to be cheaper than he currently is.

Well the patrol dog is a 2 point solo so I think in comparison the war dog attachment is fairly costed.

When will he be for sale? Typically, about 3 months after the CID ends. So, February, early March?

Here's a thing that has me excited - putting the adjunct with Old Witch 1.
I like running Old Witch 1. Old Witch 1 has four upkeeps, which means that even with Great Power making one of them three, she generally wants Sylys for a second free focus.
Old Witch 1 is really squishy and doesn't have a lot of defensive tech. She has prowl, pathfinder, is really mobile, and if you try to just chip at her over several turns, there are consequences (Scrapjack gets angry and gets +2 SPD, attack, and damage. Add AoS and you have Apparition + SPD 8 Pathfinder + MAT 9 / P+S 14 + Berserk + Overtake = major murderlation.)
This means she really wants reliable cover / concealment. So does Scrapjack. She can provide one concealment cloud herself, but it's expensive to reposition it (Murder of Crows). In Mk II, this meant you always made sure to have a ternion for Blizzard.
Non-theme is mostly non-viable. (Thanks Mk. III.) Ternions are only available in Wolves of Winter. Sylys usually takes up the mercenary solo slot (and is unavailable in WGK). You could try Tactical Arcanist Corps + Valachev for a little more smoke cover at a significant cost in a merc unit slot.
The adjunct is available for pretty much everything. His passive abilities (Arcane Assistance + Spiritual Conduit) basically match Sylys, and he's NOT taking up your limited mercenary solo slot. Then he has Blizzard, which is something Old Witch 1 wants available in every list (and it's not tying down anything you might have wanted to move elsewhere - you wanted to keep the adjunct next to Old Witch anyway). This opens up a lot of options - Old Witch becomes much more viable in any theme, and you can also shop around for mercenary solos without losing Sylys.

Not to mention that Hunter and Guidance stack oh so nicely and make the affected model ignore clouds, concealment, stealth, cover and incorporeal. Stack it on a Destroyer or Viktor and you ignore intervening models, too. When it comes to free concealment for OW and Scrapjack I'd add in Sorscha0 too, though, Fog of War does exactly that and Boundless Charge can speed them up pretty well, while the Adjunct can use his cloud to keep Sorscha save if need be. This also gives you the opportunity to stack Iron Flesh, No Sleeping on the Job and Courage of the Forefathers on Winter Guard. Question: Can Scrapjack gain Advance Move in WGK?

Yes indeed: the only criteria is 'warjack' The theme force document says heavy warjack. So Scrapjack does not benefit from advance move.

Sorscha0 also looks good, thinking on it. I'll duck over to the S0 thread for more, but my short worry is that she's squishy and there's a warjack more or less chained to her 8" CTRL.

Take a Destroyer, stay back and have him lob shells into the enemy lines, while Sorscha provides her buffs.

Yeah I get the impression a single destroyer is going to be the default jack for Sorscha0, this way she can cover what she needs with fog of war, hand out boundless charge, fuel the destroyer a bit and not run into the problem of the destroyer going out of her control area.
