Hey, I’m just confused about it’s corpse token mechanic and it’s allowable Focus. The rule for it states that at the start of its activation, it can convert up to 3 corpse tokens into one focus each. Does that mean it can have up to 6 Focus? It just struck me as odd wording since it will likely almost always get the one Focus from power up, therefore why specify that it can get “3” from the corpses? That would put it at 4 already. If it could go up to 6 Focus, that would go a long way to making it an even better option and much more useful.
Edit: I do see there is a big difference in the way things are worded perhaps on Death Jack’s card vs the Kraken’s, but I can still hope...

Unfortunately not, still limited to three since nothing mentions the Kraken being allowed more than three. The point behind it is that it's self-fuelling and can allow it to have three Focus on it after any other beginning of activation stuff that requires spending Focus (none come to mind, but eh... future proofing and all that, what) or shaking at the beginning of the turn (only Blind comes to mind, but hey, Morghoul2 is a thing). Sure, it's pretty corner case, and in a lot of cases, you kind of want to a corpse on the big guy when punching ARM and just in case the refuelling plan doesn't go quite right.

Some feats also stop powering up for instance. There are many instances where you could use the mechanic to get all 3 focus. Though with the basic rules of never being able to go over 3 focus, the limit is indeed a bit redundant.

How often do you use this mechanic? It is so hard and powerful to build up corpses that I don't think it is worth it, unless you are killing infantry this turn and expect to get the corpses back immediately.

I try to determine the amount of power I will need that turn and go from there. If my caster will use a lot of focus, starting at P+S 20 (+ Ragman/Gang Fighter) is usually enough. If there is infantry facing me, so that it won't matter if I'm POW 20 or 26, I always take focus and fill it up again. If you want to kill or maim (multiple) heavies, you will need the power. I usually like a Kraken with Skarre 2. A nice trick there is to Black Spot a unit nearby a heavy and chain your attacks off the infantry and taking the Black Spot attack on the heavy, which also fills you up on corpses.

It's a nice optional source of power if your caster needs to do lots of spellcasting. Otherwise you keep the corpses for the bonuses for damage rolls. It's not something you need to try to utilize 100% of the time.
btw, Does Kraken get to Remove from play if its corpsestock is full?

I thought once it was full that it stopped removing and collecting, but I am not sure if that has changed. Its how I play it currently.

I am pretty positive the Kraken continues to RFP. Bone Picker is the same rule as seen on Skin n Moans and they have been RFPing all models since release.
