I am going to be playing a CID game this weekend testing out the Warpwolf and Satyr changes. As I was thinking about the uses for the Shadowhorn I realized I don't think I can use it as I had originally intended. My thought was to initiate by jumping a satyr into range of an enemy heavy and throw it back towards my lines (in a nutshell). If I am reading the throw rules properly though I would have to throw the heavy "directly away" to achieve this result, correct? My understanding is I cannot target one of my own models as the thrown models target as they are friendly. That would mean that in order to throw something towards my lines the Satyr effectively has to be backwards and therefore exposes its back to the opponent. Am I missing anything here?

There's an infernal ruling that you can target your own models with the secondary part of the through, I am on my phone so I'm not gonna go digging, but its there.

That was what I was hoping to confirm. I was googling and ran across that answer (it wasn't the infernal ruling though so I wanted to confrim).
