If nobody else has seen, they've added four new character journeymen warcasters to CID: Sorscha0, Severious0, Denny0, and Caine0.
These are of course not final, but super-interesting!
Interesting bits:
• Hip Shooting - When this model hits an enemy model with a ranged attack, it can advance up to 2˝ after the attack is resolved.
• Guns are only ROF1 and POW10, but he's got Black Penny, Thunderbolt, and Trick Shot • Spells are Snipe and Spirit Door (Choose a model in the spellcaster’s battlegroup that is in its control range. Immediately place that model completely within 2˝ of the spellcaster. If the chosen model is the spellcaster, immediately place it completely within 2˝ of another model in its battlegroup that was in its control range at the time the spell was cast. A model cannot advance or attack after being placed by Spirit Door this turn.)
I don't know about you guys, but I'm excited to eventually try journeyman Caine! It's interesting - spirit door can potentially teleport him up to 8". Maybe more if he has a hunter? Current talk is that snipe-on-a-stick in Cygnar is too powerful. Personally, I don't care if they swap it out - this solo looks fun!

I think this is pretty cool.
I think "Snipe" can seem a bit much to people outside of Cygnar, but isn't that kind of our thing? Shooting and sniping,(I guess lightning as well).
I think it'd be hilarious to have Caine 0 in my Kraye Heavy Metal list, and giving Jacks snipe, like the Defender or Stormclad.
Looking forward to this release. Even if I don't use him all that much, I'll more than likely be buying this model.

Caine 0 with snipe seems crazy good. Storm Strider in Haley 2 list means 27 inches of threat with 3 pow 15 shots. Dynamo on Nemo with Snipe. Stryker 1 dual col's both sniped first turn. I am sure there are many more.

Killing 4 infantry models a turn is nice output, base rat 7 is very good, Snipe is superb, nothing not to like

If Snipe stays until full release, it means that PP has completely lost sight of how to properly balance the game. This is Eilish 1.0 tier broken. It's CID - they'll test it. I'm not super worried, and I won't be heartbroken if they do remove it. Snipe is not my favorite part of Caine0 anyway.

Trick Shot damage rolls are not considered to have been caused by an attack.
SPELLS Cost RNG AOE POW DUR OFF Snipe 2 6 – – UP No Target friendly Faction model’s/unit’s ranged weapons gain +4 RNG. Spirit Door 3 Ctrl – – – No Choose a model in the spellcaster’s battlegroup that is in its control range. Immediately place that model completely within 2˝ of the spellcaster. The other casters getting this treatment are Severius, Deneghra and Sorscha.

Hot take: Ugh. This seems like the sort of piece whose primary functioning is threatening turn two assassinations on lists that didn't bring enough shield guards, a common pattern which I find to be the least fun matches to play on both sides.

My knee jerk concern with him is cycling snipe on striders with Nemo 3. Turn 2 onward you threaten 23” with them if you cycle it around. And then can recast The Arm buffs after each has shot. Just seems a bit much to me.

Eye of Menoth, Road to War, Boundless Charge, Fog of War and Parasite on a stick. Overall power increase for all these factions.

Just to check I've understood this right. I give Caine a hunter and he can spirit door 16" + base + 2" across the table after having shot twice with a rune bullet of my choice? That is some crazy, crazy mobility. Presumably (since he's an arcane tempest model) he's potentially free in Sons or Heavy metal? I can see him being very cool in Sons as snipe can be free if he sticks it on an arcane tempest model/unit. (Such as himself.)
He seems a bit too good.
