I'm really not that interested in dedicating my entire army into stopping one model! Unfortunately I do not possess a Behemoth or a Victor/Conquest.... He's a damage sponge.....and so incredibly fast.

Question is what do you have and what armies you like to make. I never like selecting or buying models solely to kill a singular problem.

I have a small sample of Khador: Casters: Butcher1, Sorcha 1, Vlad 1,3 and the Old Witch.
Jacks: Juggernaut, destroyer, kodiak, Drago and spriggan.
Units: Winter guard, Rifle corps, Doom reavers, woodsman, iron fangs and black dragons, uhlans and greylord outriders and widow makers.
Solos: Fenris, marksman, Yuri, Greylords, various UA and Kovniks.
I'm currently running the Iron Fang theme list with Vlad 3....but I'm seriously worried about not being able to outrun Imperatus.....even with Cav!

Its Speed 6. That's pretty good for a Heavy, but that's not lightning speed. Is it some caster combo that's giving you trouble?

He is still a Ret heavy, Ret Heavies don't usually One Round a Khador Jack, even with the +2 DAM buff because they have to spend a focus to Charge.
Trade heavies with him, offer a Juggy and counter with another Juggy. Applying Grievous Wounds before hand (Alten Ashley) will stop his Phoenix Protocol.

Imperatus is an amazing jack. You have to deal over 50 damage to one round it and it has impressive threat range. But it's expensive and there is only one of it.
You can trade two Juggernauts into it and you pretty much break even.
One trick is using precision strike & snipe to carve out some key systems and force them to Phoenix Proto to get them back. If you take out the cortex for example and they can't in to repair it, they pretty much have to use the protocol. Which then is only getting them 3 boxes and the shield back.

I recommend a Juggy and Maurader. You want to knock it down to deal maximum damage.

Imperatus has never failed to one round any warjack it has come across with me. I bloody hate the guy. But yes, if you can get him to Phoenix protocol to heal systems, that is half the battle.

Allow me to laugh at your shitty karma then. At full focus and dice -1, a charging Imperatus leaves a Juggy at 7 boxes. In order to kill a Juggy your opponent must spike the equivalent of 2d6

True, but Ret also has ways of getting free charges off. Such as that Hunters Mark Solo, or Issyria and Crusaders call. With her feat as well it tips the balance to being able to kill one on averages.

Crusaders call doesn't give free changes but Thyron's Assail does. Also his bond lets him charge for free when under either Vyros. Ret also has other ways to boost damage on top of CP. Vryos1's or Issyria's feat, Helynna's Hand of Destruction, or Vyros2's Synergy. With SPD 6 and 2" reach a lot of times you can just walk Impy up and buy a third attack since you normally do more damage than with a charge.

It has an 8" walking threat range... That is the same threat as a charging Jugg
