Hey there, Long story short, I started mk3 with Protectorate as my main faction, I loved mk2 protectorate but in mk3 I feel is a pale shadow of what it used to be, and I'm talking from the fun side of things, I'm not a tournament player, and khador it's been calling me (back) for a long time now. The new tier lists and strakhov2 put the nails on the coffin for me. Protectorate has to go (even if it means losing Amon) and khador will come.
I've decided to start my purchases aiming for a tier, and my choice fell on the legion of steel.
The question is this: I pinned a unit of uhlans for a friend and the riders were an absolute chore, do you know any alternate miniature horses I can use that don't cost an arm and a leg? (Less tha a box of uhlan) I thought about using the plastic IF as riders but I can't think of suitable horses.
Any suggestion is much appreciated!

GW's plastic Empire Knights would work as proxies, and could probably be found cheap on eBay since GW killed WFB. Of course wouldn't be even remotely tournament legal...

I would look for some bears to use as bear cavalry then use Ironfang shields for barding. This is Khador we do not do light

I recommend looking at shows or conventions rather than discontinued lines from some shops who want to sell off figures on the cheap you can normally get the exact number you want rather than 2 from 1 manufacturer and 3 from another
