Hi folks.
After Grymkin and changes in Mulg's point cost made Doomy3 a sub optimal choice I've been bouncing around Troll casters trying to decide who is best to run my beast brick list. I've tried Doomy2, Kolgrima, Borka2 all in PoD and found all of them ok, but often sub optimal.
So bearing in mind that SR2017 strongly encourages infantry lists I've decided to try double infantry lists. One in BoH and one in SotN.
I'm Considering:
Madrak1 (BoH) - Runebearer - Mauler - Bouncer - Bouncer Max Stone + SE Max Champions Max Champions Min Longriders Min Warders SSC Fell Caller Hero Ailish
and
Kolgrima (SotN) - Runebearer - Glacier King - Pyre Troll Max Stone + NE Max Champions - Skaldi - Sorcerer Fire Eaters Fire Eaters Bears + Handlers Fell Caller Hero Valka
The plan would be for Kolgrima to deal with Cryx and Cygnar and more infantry heavy lists while Madrak was the hard hitting drop into mostly hordes and jack spam.
Anyone running something similar with any advice? Anyone see any matchups I might struggle with?

I am not a big fan of Hugh bases and kolgrima. She wants to hide her army and a gk will always be seen. I am trying a build with kolgrima in sotn.

Have you played the Kolgrimma GK list? I played a list with her and the MK and really love it.
Everyone seems to hate on the inability to hide the king, but it just doesn’t show up as a problem on the table for me. I’ve been playing trolls without hiding my army for a year now, I think I can properly space one model in my army by now. Lol

I also think unless you have insanely beneficial terrain that you will be unable to hide your whole army anyway with 4 clouds anyway. You generally drop 2 or 3 to stop one enemy unit from charging or up the defence of your champions.
