Hello all! I've been out of Warmachine for quite sometime and recently got back into it. When I originally started I played Cygnar while also picking up some Mercs. When that first issue of No Quarter gave rules for play Mercs only, and the original release of Ashlynn, that's what I did from that point forward till I quit playing.
Flash forward to today and I have a mighty Cygnar force again but with the release of Ashes to Ashlynn I want to reprise my Mercs army only this time as the Llael Resistance. Is there a good resource to look for the history of Llael? I'm looking for both general overviews and fiction to read. I'd love to start reading with the earliest available history/stories and go through it chronologically to today.
Any help putting this stuff in order would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

A couple of the Warmachine novels actually cover the Llaelese war and the resistance.

IKRPG Kings, Nations, and Gods has all that you need. Doug Seacat vomited out enough backstory in that book to answer everything you need.
If you want more, IKRPG Unleashed has great details about the wild areas of Llael.

Skull Island Expeditions:
The Way of Caine has some Llaelese material (including some mercs), around the time of the death of the king.
In Thunder Forged is set entirely in Llael and before the conquest is complete, but seems to have disappeared from the PP website (and the Amazon kindle store in the UK) - no idea why.
The Flashpoint and Aftershock novels have more (set during the revived conflict), mostly from a Cygnaran perspective. Aftershock is entirely set in Llael and has quite a bit of interaction with the Resistance.
