First of all, hi everyone! Im kinda new to this board, ive collected mercs for most of mkii and few months after introducing mkiii needed to stop due to change of my worklace, and place of living. Sold most of my collection, but now im getting ready to go back after a year CID looked really good to me (Blindwater one seems like the best balanced and most interesting CID up to date for me) so ive decided to switch to minions ( i would not bear to play real faction) I managed to barter some of my leftovers from mercs and ended up with: -Calaban -Rask -Maelok -Snapper -Witch doc -3*full posse -bokor with shamblers So im in need of some solos, and beasts. I have nuff infantry to roll 75pts lists (maybe missin' raiders) but basically no utility solos etc... Could You please help me out a bit? What is first on my shopping list? Ive thought it should be something like: -Wrastler -Blind walker -soulslave -bone shrine -Jaga-Jaga What would You guys think is more necessary? Dracodile or Sac Vault? Are they really obligatory for decent gameplay ?(lets say about 50pts battles) Would You make this shopping cart different? Most compelling pair of casters to me are Jaga and Rask. I will play other too, but those two seem to me like best choice. Feed me up with some insight, please! There is not much post CID dojo out there PS: and sorry for any misspelling, I'm not native speaker so errors may occur :/

That's a misconception, there is tons of it. Just not that many new threads. Look into Gastons Battlereports for example. Blind Walkers, Wrastler, Bull Snapper should be the first things you get, might want to add a Swamp Horror, but I'm biased in that regard. After that it depends on who you want to play. I would recommend starting with Maelok as he is straight forward to play and you own everything you need for him, once you get the Beasts. You can also play the same list with Rask, because everything works with Rask. Calaban and Jaga-Jaga can also take the same list, but they prefer more ranged elements. You will need 1-2 units of Croak Raiders and probably a Sacral Vault for these two. To get the most out of Rask look into what you can take in Will Work For Food. While he can play everything, he tends to run WWFF lists really good. It's basically the "Rask + all the lesser Warlocks"-Lists from the beginning of MKIII, they just became better. If you want to play a Dracodile, you can build a good list pair with a Dracodile, but you don't need to own it to build two working lists. Beginner-"won't need to buy much / buy stuff you will need all the time" listsconflictchamber.com/#cb201b_-0Pcr4cjQ4djNjWfIbH4k7FfF4nbF2N___-0v494cjQ4djNjWbOjOkcjYkcjYkc2NMinion Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] Will Work for Food !!! Your army contains a pre-release entry. (Rask 1) Rask [+27] - Blackhide Wrastler [16] - Blind Walker [10] - Bull Snapper [5] - Swamp Horror [15] - Gatorman Soul Slave [0(5)] Bog Trog Mist Speaker [0(4)] Dahlia Hallyr [17] Lanyssa Ryssyl, Nyss Sorceress [4] Rorsh [15] Swamp Gobber Chef [1] Totem Hunter [0(6)] Wrong Eye [17] Swamp Gobbers Bellows Crew [2] Minion Army - 75 / 75 points [Theme] The Blindwater Congregation !!! Your army contains pre-release entries. (Maelok 1) Maelok the Dreadbound [+28] - Blackhide Wrastler [16] - Blind Walker [10] - Bull Snapper [0(5)] - Swamp Horror [15] - Gatorman Soul Slave [0(5)] Gatorman Witch Doctor [0(4)] Gatorman Bokor & Bog Trog Swamp Shamblers [10] Gatorman Posse (max) [16] - Void Leech (1) [1] Gatorman Posse (max) [16] - Void Leech (1) [1] Gatorman Posse (max) [16] Swamp Gobbers Bellows Crew [2] Optimized? Nah, but perfectly playable, use what you already have and full of stuff you will often use.

Oh thanks for such a complete answer! Ive already seen Gaston's thread but as a semi-begginer im not sure how much of it i can really adapt to my mind analyzing batreps take some more brain juice and undestanding of lists (which i'm lacking as if yet) I feel absolutely the same about Maelok and his list -> that he seems like easiest one co complete the list, also not needing any huge-base-grade-expense. And thank You for this list, its quite simillar to what ive done on my own, so it seems that i get the basic idea ( ave used boneshrine not gobbers though) As if for Rask and WWFF.... I will surtely look into it in some time, but as for now completing model collection for blindwater itself seems challenging enough so apart from wrongeye i think ill keep out from lessers for a few weeks/months. I guess it wont be optimal in any way, but well... As for Jaga Jaga, is the Sac Vault absolutely needed to play with her ? I understand prefference for croak raiders and it will be my next unit for sure, but dunno if I can viably avoid battle engine :/ Barnaba2 seems like a reasonably easy to collect army for, even though model itself is dramatically expencive

And thank You for this list, its quite simillar to what ive done on my own, so it seems that i get the basic idea ( ave used boneshrine not gobbers though) Not being shot at is better than an additional fury for transfers, but you can still take a Bone Shrine instead of them, they both have their advantages (actually buyable is one of the Gobbers for example)As if for Rask and WWFF.... I will surtely look into it in some time, but as for now completing model collection for blindwater itself seems challenging enough so apart from wrongeye i think ill keep out from lessers for a few weeks/months. I guess it wont be optimal in any way, but well... You don't need the lesser warlocks besides Wrong Eye. You can play the list in Blindwater and fill the points with Posse. Fury and Rasks Feat make everything great, but it's "slightly" better on Warbeasts with overtake. Swamp Horror with +2SPD first turn and Overtake is great in itself and just explodes with Fury+Rage. As for Jaga Jaga, is the Sac Vault absolutely needed to play with her ? I understand prefference for croak raiders and it will be my next unit for sure, but dunno if I can viably avoid battle engine :/ Only when you play her as a shooting list with Croaks. It just fits to well into the concept and provides so many useful things. There are also some Jaga-Jaga lists utilizing beasts in WWFF, still useful for this kind of lists, but not as much that you could consider it necessary. Signs & Portents makes everything great, just like Rask.Barnaba2 seems like a reasonably easy to collect army for, even though model itself is dramatically expencive Yes and no. You can play him with a "normal" Blindwater List, but as soon as you can buy the Boil Master you'll probably want Boneswarms. But I'm not sure in that regard, never payed much attention to BLoB and probably won't for the near future as I'm struggling to play something else than Jaga-Jaga and Rask (dumb idea on my part to start with "the best" warlocks, makes taking up the others harder)

I see Your point about gobbers furthermore they are cheaper $$$-wise Exactly my thoughts about Rask too - Fury is awesome turd-polisher and with such thing as wrastler (or two) should be more than awesome. Feat as nearly-guaranteed-alpha is cool too! Ill takie this route for sure, at least at beggining of my adventure with minions. Ill consider swamp horror too, i love the model, but i thinks its rather WWFF idea coz the overtake. S&P are more advantageous more rolls You make, i think... so its understandable that posse as core unit may be subpar. Im glad i have shamblers, they seem to be cool with her As for barnabas2 i would see him with shamblers (for feat) 2/3 posse's 2 boneswarms, Boil master and some heavies. Should be good enough to have fun! After switching from mercs i am astonished how well-paced are those amphibious casters -Barnaba2 -> brawler -barnaba1 -> general, oldschool warlock -Maelok -> Bricky/undead shenanigans -JagaJaga -> S&P/spellslinger -Calaban ->true spellslinger -Rask -> Support/control I really cant wait to play all of em, even though some seem to be stronger than others. In mercs i would have to buy metric ass-loads of miniatures from Cygnar+Menoth+Khador+Searforge+Steelhead+Pirates in order to get so much diversity of gameplays

Welcome to the faction! Could You please help me out a bit? What is first on my shopping list? Given your interest in Rask and Jaga, perhaps this: -Wrastler -Spitter -Spitter -Soulslave -Mist Speaker -Kwaak and Gub -Jaga-Jaga -Various solos to flavor I think it will help you to have lists in mind to build for, such as: Rask, Blindwater -Wrastler -Spitter -Spitter GMP GMP GMP Bokur and Shamblers Of course that list is 2 points of infantry short of 3 free solos, so the battle group may change to fix that, which in turn will change your shopping cart. See what I mean? Personally, most of my beast loads tend to be "Oreos"; i.e. x2 Wrastlers and a Blindwalker, x2 Spitters and a Wrastler, etc. What would You guys think is more necessary? Dracodile or Sac Vault? Are they really obligatory for decent gameplay ?(lets say about 50pts battles) Would You make this shopping cart different? For starting out? Neither one. The money is better spent on models that go into more lists, then you buy these at a later date. The Vault is very good, the Dracodile remains to be seen.

As for Jaga Jaga, is the Sac Vault absolutely needed to play with her ? No, it was not in my first list for her, I reached for Dahlia first. However it is a strong piece into the match ups that I like to drop her into.

One last thought: I don't know if it is geographically feasible for you, but I try to get all my models on the cheap used, from Bartertown or eBay. I figure there is nothing glue, spray paint, and imagination cannot fix.

This is very true, you can always find great deals online and that is actually how I managed to get into the faction at about 20% MSRP. I would also like to throw a recommendation for the IronBack Spitter. Our only real ranged option and good at what he does. Slow, but a good gun and difficult to remove.

Thank you everyone for such extencive help! Ill surely look into spitters, since i really love models. Comfortable beasts collection for me looks like: -2*spitter -2*wrastler -2*boneswarm -grave walker -swamp horror -snapper -WE&snapjaw it should be perfect for just about any list as far as i can see, and it will be my goal to get those. As to buying second-hand -> thats the way ive managed to get what i do have now ( traded 3 jacks, earthbreaker and tinker for 3 croc warlock, 1 beast, 3 GMP, shamblers and witch doc) Although i dont think there is much left on polish second-hand market of minions
