I'm starting an IKRPG Unleashed campaign, and looking for input suggestions for making a Satyxis character.
From the narrative, they were likely a Molgur people prior to Toruk, They overlap well thematically in many ways with Tharn, and Blood Witches and Bloodweavers are nearly interchangeable.
I plan on making the career accessible to them, and perhaps mandating either Bloodweaver or Pirate as being one of the starting careers.
Mostly I'm curious about the community recommends implementing the Horns. I don't have a copy of the Monsternomicon yet (on order), but if anyone has experience with the conversion, I'm listening to how it went for you.

Wasn't there rules for satyxis in one of the old No Quarters?

Wasn't there rules for satyxis in one of the old No Quarters? Could be (I wouldn't be surprised). If so, and someone knows the issue, please share. On a related note, is there a compiled version of IKRPG material from NQ somewhere?

Found it, got it. Thanks for the assist.
I know a free unarmed combat and knockdown chance is great, but they seem a bit light in stat and characteristic advantages compared to other races. Compared to Tharn, they have a higher cap on Int and PHYS, but they still seem to be missing a little something. Most Satyxis seem to have Pathfinder, but that seems a bit generous. Maybe a boosted rolls on Intimidation or Seduction checks, or certain nautical related checks.

I agree with you boozy, they were a little lack luster when I saw them. But getting an extra free attack is a big deal for game balance in any role playing game. When I game mastered someone playing a duelist/pistoleer skilled character, they would walk into a room and just mow down all my grunts with the exceptionally large number of attacks they had. It was difficult to balance the encounters around from the sheer amount of bullet barrage that guy could put out. I could see the satyxis having a similar concern.

Yeah, I don't want to short sell a free melee attack with Knockdown. That is exceptionally good. A small flavor bonus though I think is not out of the question. I'm going to give automatic boosts to Intimidation and Seduction checks, see if that's bending. I doubt it will be, but if it is I'll ret-con remove it.

I feel like they toned down Satyxis stats a lot in exchange for the free headbutt. Where were these people when Gatorman was being developed?

Yeah, Gatormen look like they got a heavy finger on the scale. They remind me of MKII Gators....the awesome kind. I'll probably need to strictly mind the eating requirement to balance it out.
