So a couple of friends of mine decided to get into Hordes. They were both into Minions and Trollbloods so they purchased some Battlebox-ish things and I realized I only play Minions and Trollbloods. It's a little dull to play the same factions as they do (great excuse to start a new faction) so i decided to get the faction I've wanted since its release, Grymkin.
Needless to say, there is no Warlock in the game more awesome than the King of Nothing. So he had to be my first.
With him came a Skin & Moans and my absolutely favorite unit in the game; The Neigh-Slayers. So after my first week with Grymkin, this was the result:
I would suggest to try Mad Caps with Everything. They decide matchups. Too good to pass on in my opinion.
Also maybe exchange one Frightmare for a Rattler for better infantry clear?!
FTFY. Mad Caps are insanely good. At best, you are constantly chucking walking, talking (at least, they talk to me...) POW14 blasts out that cannot be ignored. At worst, you can constantly be contesting zones with your free solos.
You are both very right and that’s what I thought was missing as well! So I’ve edited my list as to what it looks like now, removed Longfellow and Gorehound for 2 units of Mad Caps. Awesome models as well so would be a shame not to paint and play them
Agreed. Trapperkin is interesting as a solo-hunter, but typically (at least for me) it dies quickly even if it reaches the target. Longfellow can do the dame job, from further, and is a legit threat to casters.
