Hey there Mercs. Legion player here. I often times find myself looking at other faction's stuff and saying "wow thats cool", or "man thats really good!" then looking at my faction's "version" (if you will) and saying ew. I often times nitpick things too, and talk about how bad stuff is etc. etc. However, I got to thinking... There's a saying that the grass is always greener on the other side. More than likely (not all of the time, but probably a lot), I'm looking at tools other people have, wishing I had access to them, and taking for granted things that my faction has that other people may not have.
So, I've decided to get an outside perspective from other players of different factions. What do y'all, as mercenaries players, see in Legion's stable of pieces that make you think "hey I wish I had that"?

Hellmouth is absurd, yup. Plus feeding the tentacles to something with the gobber chef and then replacing them makes me look at repair actions and cry. Easy access to heavies that can't be knocked down. The ability to not look at a board full of forests and assume that at least one of your lists is useless.

Flight and Eyeless Sight. Angelius. Fury (the stat, not the spell).

Flight and Eyeless Sight. Angelius. Fury (the stat, not the spell). I'm interested at the Angelius response. It seems, animus aside, that Legion players have moved on from it to either Neraphs that take buffs better or Carniveans that are stronger for a few points more.

That may be the case in your neck of the woods but Angelius have a place in a lot of lists, and there's always at least two in Fyanna's lists

Not many factions have access to armor piercing let alone one that strong. Combined with a high speed and flight, it gets to places it shouldn't be getting to that easily. Then combined with the rest of the faction's movement shenanigans, it's a really annoying piece.

We got 2 boxes and essentially Serpentine as an upkeep competing with Admonition on Ashlynn and called it a major victory (obviously there were a couple other tweaks, but the point remains).

Serpentine is great but also not. No slams or tramples, but no knockdown (still have to sacrifice or pay when thrown or slammed, though). Stationary still gets us.

Sure, but knockdown tech is pretty major and being able to avoid it "just because" is pretty amazing. Plus, like angrynorway said, def bonuses are worth a lot more when you can guarantee they won't be negated by being knocked down.
