Hey there Iosans. Legion player here. I often times find myself looking at other faction's stuff and saying "wow thats cool", or "man thats really good!" then looking at my faction's "version" (if you will) and saying ew. I often times nitpick things too, and talk about how bad stuff is etc. etc. However, I got to thinking... There's a saying that the grass is always greener on the other side. More than likely (not all of the time, but probably a lot), I'm looking at tools other people have, wishing I had access to them, and taking for granted things that my faction has that other people may not have.
So, I've decided to get an outside perspective from other players of different factions. What do y'all, as retribution players, see in Legion's stable of pieces that make you think "hey I wish I had that"?

Since Mk2 and still today the answer is easy for me. Deathstalkers. Comparing Deathstalkers to our equiv, Ghost snipers, gave me cancer. And now Deathstalkers are even better, as they ignore tough rolls, which was their bane in mk2. It didn't help that my main opponent played Lyl2 and 2 stalkers, which meant between those 3 models, they killed a unit a turn basically.

Raeks or hellmouths, both make we jelly.
While we have 8pt lights none of them have quite the same level of just blatant assassination potential(tho griffons come close).
Hellmouths just feel like such a unique zone of control piece.

All of the above and 1/3 of your casters.
Also slipstream, that is a really powerful ability.

An armor piercing speed 7 heavy with flight. Sadly I've never been able to get it to regain its points.

Shepherd, mistress, martyr, sorcerer and assassin are all very good solos. They would definitely find a place in my lists.

Typhon. SP8 pow 14 with the ability to make 3 initial attacks. Also with its animus making it harder to kill.

Assassin packs a lot of punch and rules for a 4 point model. In my opinion, it’s comparable* to Narn, which costs 6 points. * Narn vs. Assassin Survivability: DEF15 vs. DEF14 Melee: 2xBlessed MAT8 P+S11+wm vs. Grievous wounds MAT7 1x P+S15 or 2xP+S11 Ranged: Blessed RAT6 RNG12 POW10 vs. No ranged attack Mobility: Advance deployment + Acrobatics + Parry + Pathfinder vs. Flight Other rules: No Leadership vs. Leadership (Grotesque)

Blanket Eyeless Sight made me salty back in MK2, as I started with Kaelyssa and my most common sparring partner mained Legion (before moving to Piggies, initially as a joke!), so yay, only half a feat.
These days it's same as previously mentioned, the Strider Deathstalker. But also the Raptors. Repo 5 and Poisoned wreaks me all the damned time... -_-

Many good answers here. In addition, Pathfinder on Legion Heavies sometimes gives me a tough time. I would love to ignore terrain outside of a few specific 'casters (who have to spend resources to do it).

I would love to ignore terrain outside of a few specific 'casters (who have to spend resources to do it). This actually makes me hate Typhon, who costs 24pts and somehow doesn't have pathfinder. He also threatens surprisingly low to begin with, which always sucks in legion (no survivability means threatening is paramount to success).
