I️ picked up a second trencher infantry and UA to play king maker and grave diggers lists. Who in cygnar runs them the best?
Here are my thoughts. Feel free to chime in with any experience or insights.
Haley3 - seems fantastic with temporal distortion pushing them to base def 15 with dig-in thrown on. Seems very similar in application to sure foot. Tactical supremacy is amazing on them too! Ghost walk for pathfinder and some recursion, why not.
Maddox - lots to like. Snipe, +3 arm (though tough is wasted on them), pathfinder for those assault shots. A feat that gives +3 POW.
Stryker3 - fury and his feat really crank up their output.
Caine1 - blur, snipe deadeye. Kind of redundant to have all those guns w Caine though.
Stryker1 - blur, snipe, arcane shield. Armor feat. If you can arc an Earthquake and shoot stuff up, great!
Haley1 - sigh. Deadeye and temporal barrier let them hit anything. Blitz gives them even more shots. Still not sure she’s worth playing after her latest round of nerfs.
Blaize - had a weird idea about this the other day. Crusaders call helps trenchers charge 11”, giving them 16” threat range into stealth. 12” threat on bayonets. Her feat seems interesting to keep more trenchers alive if some fail tough checks.
Siege2 - has fury, has a reposition feat...
Siege1 - mostly his feat...
What I’m seeing is that trenchers want:
Reposition for the super smoke wall if they can get it.
Defensive buffs. Surefoot, distortion, arcane shield, blur.
Pathfinder, preferably without Rhupert or runewood. We can’t all have idrians.
Threat extenders. Snipe, crusaders call, etc. remember when Finn had desperate pace!?
Damage buffs. Cygnar mostly does this through feats. Ragman is handy as well.
