Pretty good, it turns out. Worked it out; wanted to share.
I roll - odds based on your roll 6 - 6/6 I win. 5 - 5/6 I win, 1/6 reroll. 4 - 4/6 I win, 1/6 reroll, 1/6 I lose. 3 - 3/6 I win, 1/6 reroll, 2/6 I lose. 2 - 2/6 I win, 1/6 reroll, 3/6 I lose. 1 - 1/6 I win, 1/6 reroll, 4/6 I lose.
Rerolls basically don't count; you just start over. So I win in 21 cases, and lose in 10. Win 21/31 (68%), lose 10/31 (32%).

Well, the answer depends on whether your army has a strong preference on going first or second, or gets major advantages/disadvantages from terrain.
My Axis, IMD and Thyra armies generally prefer to go first. Thyra and Axis like to jam to centerfield ASAP, and IMD can shoot top of 2 with a good tailwind.
On the other hand, Pathfinder can be hard to come by for other PoM and CoC armies, so I'd like to have the starting side with the least rough terrain. If I'm playing a Circle army with a lot of Prowl, I'm going to want the side with a lot for forests.

It's not +1 to go first it's +1 to choose. You can pick sides or go first.
It is great. I can't believe Anastasia isn't all over yet, I believe she will be since you can now get +2 in merc, cygnar and protectorate lists that add +1.
Do the math, it's close to a sure thing.

Does the bonus apply to the re-rolls? Or then you get a straight dice? (Never happened to me until now to reroll against someone with the bonus, but could be handy to know).

Fairly certain it would apply to the re-roll. I had been assuming so.
