Am I right on that the Soul Slave can't cast the animi the lock gains from it's beasts? Cause the rulebook states that the lock can treat animi as if it were one of its own spells while the warbeast is in its control range, but the Spell Slave action says that you can cast spells only from the lock's card.

Animi are not part of the casters printed spell card. Therefore no the soul slave cannot cast animi. That would be bonkers with rage.

Yeah It would be pretty bonkers with rage but there are several spells that are still super nice to have spell slave for Boundless Charge and Mortality come to mind specifically.

Someone brought up on the CID rules forums that it looks like it can cast spells from Sturm and Drang's inactive mind. Pagani's looking into it but very interesting

I would say its an interaction thats not completely broken, it would only be situationally usable and does break anything when it happens. Could just be a nice synergy.
