9/20: Cost 16, Tentacles gain Chain Strike
Chain Strike - This weapon becomes RNG 4 during this model’s activation.
Thoughts?

16 points is too costly, especially when the Wrastler is this beast's nearly required 'attachment'. Tricky, in a game that doesn't reward EXPENSIVE (pt cost) tricks.
42 points was way too much for Chain Strike on a Garg. 19 points on Kharybdis also too much. I think this ability may be overvalued.

They lowered the 42pt cost of the seaking. Maybe swamp horror will get lowered as well...

They said in the CID that the point cost is the result of the Overtake interaction of WWFF.

They also said they are willing to consider Fury 4 to go with the new cost.

I'd probably take one in WWFF with Jaga-Jaga. That's the only place.

Swampie seems like a real solid choice now. After all, he's now a 4" threat extender for the rest of the army and anyone who has faced Proteus know that this is a real pain.

at 16pts still gonna need to be Fury 4 to really content with the fact it needs support to threaten anything bigger then basic infantry. Barnabas and WWWFF giving it overtake is nice to help it munch through units with auto-hit and warpath extra move.

It's only a 4" threat extender if you had your other beast/model 3" or more behind the Horror to begin with. Given that the Horror is slow as shit it seems like something that might happen late game but not something you would want to reliably set up.

Also trading a 16 pt beast to pull in a 10-12 point Khadoran 'jack, for others to kill, would not be a good trade. If I can get my tentacles on a Mulg or a Imperatus? Ok then.

Barnabas and WWWFF giving it overtake is nice to help it munch through units with auto-hit and warpath extra move. Everything thats not 20+ points requires support to threaten jacks and the like. Almost nothing in that point range reliably one rounds another heavy that isn't SUPER fragile already. (lookin at you slayer chassis) Barnabus is the only caster who can't innately give it +2 to 3 for pow on a hard target, and Rage is in faction. Effective pow 22 on the bite and 18 on the tentacles is trivial plus in CID it now outhreats the wrastler by 2 inches.

I will say that its in a relatively good place now, It may still be fairly slow but the simple fact that it has Chain Strike and Pull makes it threat some really good distances.

I like everything about him except his animus now. Really not worth the resources.

Yeah witch Rage in faction and everything gaining 1 inch range there is kinda no need. There is a place where it is useful to put it on the shambler bokur under rask, but I cant think of many other places.
