Sounds like they are moving Battle Engines to be more support pieces like the Death Knell is. I can get on board with that. Can't wait to test them out.

I think the verdict is still out on CID.
The developer chat thing - they've raised about 4 issues. There are a lot of people playing a lot of games with Grymkin though - so I guess that's good. My focus is on playing the game, not playing the playtest, so while its good people are play testing - and I do like to watch over whats happening a bit - I like playing the game more. I plan on voting with my money - if I like it I am much more likely to buy it.

So 2 things i noticed.
The battle engines are gonna come after the stream roller cycle? So 2 months from now. Or are they coming with the steam roller cycle? Idk
But the other thing i noticed is that cryx players gonna be Hella mad that their command book comes with only 1 theme force.

I approve of this change, seems like a step in the right direction. I guess we'll see what gets included in the CID cycle with the bane force - I'm definitely curious to see if there'll be any casters/jacks or just units and solos. Maybe we can swing Agathia as a bane caster?
If this is the plan for CID going forward, I'll likely change my opinion about PP's practices and lift my boycott. We'll have to see how it shakes out for models that already have a theme force, though - Circle Wolds (and their theme force) need a run through CID, as do all Tharn except Bloodtrackers and Wolfriders, and I will not be pleased if they're locked out of being improved because of PP's timing.

My thought on the Cryx part....
We're not happy with Bane theme...CID it.
Banes also need work...CID them.
Command book won't contain Banes or a second theme... delay it?...
Erm nope release it anyway...!!
I'm not against putting stuff to CID but releasing an incomplete product? Not good in my opinion...

It seems like sometimes whatever privateer press does people Female Dog. Release a CID to buff banes and bane theme: complain because it's not in the command book. Put the theme in the command book without cid: complain it's not good enough and banes are crap Delay the command book: complain that obviously they hate Cryx because their command book is getting delayed. I on the other hand eagerly await the buffs to my Transfinite Emergence Projector. Edit: Also, I love the Firetrucking profanity filter.  |

Yup, I've personally found that the Firetrucking filter stops all the Female Doging and Firetrucking salt from being too Firetrucking overwhelming and adds a humorous note to any Female Dog-fests that can happen.  |

The CiD is interesting. My objection is that Cryx players current and future are to be given their Command Book in an incomplete state based on current models available. I would suspect that they would prefer to wait longer for a fully realised product. As Skorne are... I'm not Female Doging about CID.... I just feel this brave new world is having a troubled birth. |

I was pleased with the tone of the Insider. I wish Shick had come out earlier and said that when everyone was freaking out about the forum changes. He offered a calm and thoughtful explanation that could have forestalled some of the panic.
Otherwise, I'm looking forward to seeing the Wraith Engine get some help and to seeing what they come up with for banes in the CID. I prefer playing to playtesting, but I'm certainly going to watch with interest as the bane theme goes through CID. This is gonna be cool!
